Moved into a Colorado retirement home for folks on a limited income. The first thing unpacked was naturally the ashtray.

Residents of the building were told we would not be able to smoke in our own apartments after March 1. I asked the new manager to show me where in my lease it said this. He advised me that it was not in the lease. He also said he would start eviction proceedings against me on March 1 if I continued to smoke in my own home. It terrified me that in my golden years I would be subject to eviction.

They brought us shrimp for the first meeting, which should have indicated that it was a done deal. The smokers' meeting was also a farce. They gave us a handout on quitting smoking. Gee, that's nice. Problem is that we don't want to quit.
The 75-year-old blind vet was my biggest worry. He gets lost three feet from the outer door, but not even he was grandfathered in. Folks started looking for new places to live. Not an empty moving box to be seen.

Rachael Ray had an e-cig segment on her cooking show. Did not walk, but ran to the computer. Ordered two beginner kits and read, read, read ECF.
Ordered from Cignot the next day, and they made us a cause, bless their hearts.

Didn't realize that shipping would be so fast. It had actually been here all weekend. Hey, this e-cig routine is do-able. Ordered more kits from the ladies and talked to the smoker neighbors. Some are moving. The ones who are quitting are impossible to be near.

60 Minutes had a segment on snus. Ordered some. Not bad. Never thought I'd be snusing in my old age. Couple of us. Am smoking and vaping and snusing all over the place.

No more smoking inside. One analog left. Am going to have it bronzed. There are now 510s all over the house, plus flavors, etc., etc.

Oh, did I mention that they're supposed to be building us a smoking gazebo? Originally it was to cost $10,000, but now it's $14,000. Does this mean it'll have a golden dome, coffee, and maid service? We saw men measuring for it in February, but it's vaporware. (Pun intended.)
Yes, I've had a couple of analogs since May 1, but after 57 years, you've got to cut me a little slack. The last one was a long .... I lifted from a neighbor's car ashtray. Yuk. Pity was that it tasted good.
