Dark City Vapor - Mountain 55

Dark City Vapor - Other than the obvious cinematic reference and a few ECF contests I was not really that familiar with this vendor. They seem pretty active in the community and have a very loyal following. I can say that it was very easy to get the sample...just watch their thread and wait untill they throw a few to the appreciative public.

Mountain 55 - As noted before, I have tasted tons of tobacco flavors including some from soaks, nut flavorings and natural extractions. Because of the market still being fairly young I doubt any of us are truly Professors or really professionals as far as tasting goes. I feel I can do justice to a tobacco based on comparisons to the higher number of tobacco juices I have sampled.

The review -
The boring (but necessary) stuff:
Vapor production - Heavy
Throat Hit - At 18mg it was as expected with a tobacco high end juice.
Smell - I think this one smells like a nutty and earthy cupcake. Smells a bit sweet.
Thickness - about average for the PG/VG ratio requested.
Flavor - When I first opened this one and topped up a carto I was rather surprised by the amount of earthiness in the flavor. By earthiness I mean that the flavor reminds me of the smell of freshly broken ground. This is a bit sweeter than the average tobacco, similar to the way an RY4 is. Very nice and fresh tobacco flavor but missing the smoky flavor. As it aged it really took on a classic tobacco juice flavor with that pop of sweetness and a really pleasant smell. I liked this one much better after a few days of steeping. I tried this on a higher voltage mod and really enjoyed the flavor when it was vaped hotter. A nice LR dual suited this juice very well and brought back some of that smokiness I was missing. Keep a bottle of water around because this juice did seem to give me a dry throat. It was not to the point of irritation, but just enough to make me want a drink of something. This one went really well with a fresh cup of coffee.
