Everyone here was recently a smoker or perhaps still does occasionally have a smoke. So how is it that anti-smoker organizations now speak for us? What do they know about nicotine addiction and just how many of them even own an e-cigarette. And after they get the smoke out of the air, will they be happy with that...or then move to get the nicotine out of their own personal space because once again, they are annoyed by their fellow human beings. Or maybe it bothers them to even look at us because they don't like metal tubes with funny lights.
I am not at all comfortable with these groups who never met a tobacco tax they didn't like and still look at smokers like something they found on their shoes. More importantly, I simply will not trust them. I have friends that don't want to switch to vaping. They want to keep smoking and that is their choice. These people are still being persecuted by these groups and I refuse to be the sterotypical reformed smoker and betray those friends. I have not forgotten where I came from.
I became an independant "nicotine user" long ago when the tobacco industry, smokers rights groups, and politicians all sold out and left us worse off than we were before. They all claimed to be on my side too. AAPHP, Smokefree Pennsylvania, CASAA are supposed to be my knights in shining armor now. No thank you. I weathered the smoke-nazi storm on my own and I will weather the vapor-nazi storm as well...and I will speak for myself, thank you very much.
