My "Accidently quit cigarrettes" story.

My roomate has been vapeing for a while and i always enjoyed a pull on his pv now and then but I really was committed to my cigarette habit. I was not a heavy smoker but definitely a smoker. I started smoking at the age of 15 and by the time i was 33, I smoked about 2 packs in 3 days on average. One night my roomate came home with a Provari and flat out gave me his old eGo setup. Said he's "moving on to greener pastures." I used that eGo nightly because i didnt have to go outside to enjoy it, but didnt really consider stopping cigarettes either untill one night I ran out of cigarettes and didnt have money to go get more, so i vaped instead. me, being the great procrastinator that i am, was able to gather enough change to get a pack of smokes, but neglected to do so because my vape had me pacified well enough to keep saying "ill go get smokes later." well eventually that day was over and i woke up the next morning and reached for my vape. That was the moment it dawned on me... I had gone a whole day without a cigarette!! I was astounded and decided to see how far I could take it.. It has now been 12 weeks. Monday will be 13 weeks... I remember after a couple weeks somebody gave me a cigarette and i lit it up and took a puff and was like BLECH! it tasted horrible!! I'm so glad to be off cigarettes.. the craziest thing i've noticed now is that my clothes smell like laundary! i was actually lying on the couch watching a movie one night and was like.. whats that smell? when i noticed it was my shirt!! haha I couldnt believe that my shirt smelling of clean laundry could catch me so off guard but i really couldnt believe it.. but that was it. that sealed the deal.. by quitting cigarettes and vapeing instead, I think I look cooler, smell better, and have more money in my pocket. done and DONE.

Not similar story. Smoked a pack a day for years. When I was younger I quit for periods of time, but always fell back for some reason or other.

Came across a story about ecigs on Gizmodo one day. The comments to the story referenced ecf so I found my way here. Started reading, watching video reviews, and decided it looked viable. Ordered a Gripper and some cartos from Madvapes, but forgot the batteries. Ordered the batteries charge same day. When the Gripper got here the carto's wouldln't fit so it was a no go. Researched and found a shop across town and went there and bought a 510 kit. Started vaping it and haven't lit a cig since. That was 6 months ago. :)

Nice! so at least you knew what you were getting into. as for myself, I had no Idea that this was such a big industry.. the juices, the devices, the culture, the community. I gotta say that I really like every aspect about it and am so glad to be off cigarettes!
