Atomo Clone Update #2

The Atomo clone I bought from 101Vape is getting less and less vape-time with me. The battery rattle screw is just not long enough to accommodate my batteries. It's a giant PITA futzing with it every time I change the battery. My Jam clone works pretty good on it because it has an adjustable positive pin which can be unscrewed out to a ridiculous length, but there's another problem - the Atomo clone (at least the one I got from 101Vape) is only 21.8 millimeters in diameter. So my 22mm Jam hangs over the edge a little bit. It's hardly noticeable but still, kind of annoying.
So I put the Jam on my M16, which it fits nicely on but now I wish I'd bought the Jam with the copper airflow sleeve instead of the black one, since my M16 has a copper middle tube.
In order to satisfy my sensibilities regarding the size discrepancy, I looked around for rda's with adjustable positive pins that were also 21.8 mm in diameter. I found about a dozen on fasttech, but nowhere else. Of the ones I found on FT, only one has an adjustable positive pin: the Rainbow Mephisto clone. I kinda like the Mephisto, but I'm not very fond of rainbow-colored steel. So I guess my Atomo will never find a mate. Which is okay, it's not the end of the world. But here's a cautionary tale for those of you buying some piece of gear that you think will look great with some other piece of gear you have - check the diameter. If it's not listed, send the vendor a message and ask. To be fair, 101Vape DID list the diameter on the product page for the Atomo clone, and I saw it. But I was still kind of new at this stuff, and just thought 'Point five millimeters smaller than the topper I want to put on there? Hah! I'll never even notice! Add to cart!' I was so excited to get such a snazzy looking mod for under 20 bucks that I didn't really consider the diameter would ever be an issue, and now I'm saddled with this vague feeling of mild regret over my purchase. I'm too frugal to just throw it away and get something else, so I'll eventually put the Jam back on there and use it, but I'll sigh a little bit and roll my eyes every time I screw it on.
