Infinite CLT V1 Update #2

Isn't it funny when you think something is one way, and it turns out to be another way completely? Okay, not always. It happens with far too much frequency in my life, but when it does, I usually have a laugh. This is one of those facepalm moments, though it's not too embarrassing.

I've been continually snapping wires in the CLT. My resistance seems to jump much higher than the build should be, so my default reaction is to tighten the post screws. I keep tightening and tightening, and then the wire snaps. I thought it was the screws. It wasn't.

It was my ohm meter. Well, not exactly. It works fine for everything else, but the CLT needs to be screwed down tight onto it to get an accurate reading. I don't mean snug, I mean tight! Really tight. Maybe it's the copper 510 connector. Maybe it's sunspots, who knows. But to get an accurate reading and keep me from over tightening the post screws, I gotta twist that thing on there 'til it's one with the meter.

I'm glad I figured it out. Hopefully, if you're having the same problem with your CLT, this will help.
