Quitting an addiction is very diffucult. Becoming a V4Lifer is not quitting. Quitting is hard and it sucks even harder. Becoming a V4Lifer is easy and it feels wonderful.
I am 39 years old and started smoking when I was 13. Just wanted to hang with the cool kids. I smoked Marlboro red about a pack a day. Parents both smoked and dad died after a heart attack in his late 40's. (Years ago, I'm fine now, thanks ;-) )
Approaching my 40's I made another New Year's resolution to quit... meh, ...

  2. so now what?

    by , 04-03-2010 at 08:27 AM
It's 3 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. don't know if it's because I know this is my last day of freedom, or because I sometimes just can't sleep, or ???

I'm feeling a loss. The origainl PIF (or pay it forward) thread is no more. I feel sad. Several reasons, actually. It was fun, while it lasted, no doubt. I made several new "friends", learned a BOAT load more info about vaping, and was able to pick up some interesting and cool things that I might not have gotten ...
  3. A comparision review of the 801's

My quest for the perfect 801 (otherwise known as: Searching for a PINK eciggie)

After two weeks of researching the 801, asking numerous questions, and pestering everyone I could; I finally decided to get them all. (save the 4072.. it tanked in the reviews) Seeing as most are compatible, it seemed a logical decision to make. Then I had to find the best deal for each model!

    I ended up purchasing:

801 generic SLB kit (in PINK) from Ecigsupply (2 batts, 1 atty, ...
  4. 1st time ordering juice

    by , 04-03-2010 at 06:15 AM
I found out about ecigs on 3/24, bought one on 3/25, discovered e cig forum a few hours later. I started vaping Sunday 3/28 around 4pm. At first I thought it was crap but I started getting used to it and cutting back.

I cleaned my car and emptied my ash trays. I had energy and didn't feel as sick as I did before. Some smells started coming back. I walked my dog a bit more. After running out of juice and buying a new pack, that first drag was awful! I've had 10 so far. Gross!

  5. out of juice

    by , 04-03-2010 at 05:48 AM
I just took a photo of the contents of my ash tray 28 hours after running out of juice and buying another pack to get me through this weekend until my juice arrives on Monday. I was out of cigs for 2 days and mostly vaping, although I was still rolling a few out of old butts. Yes, isn't that gross!? But I've been rolling fags from butts for years whenever I'm out of fags so it's not shocking to me.

I guess I was in denial about how strong my addiction is.
