Another PTB Mod

I wanted to make a quick PTB mod after wasting half a PTB in an attempt to make a 510 cartomizer (didnt work).

I am still using the FRF PTB mod but this is what I have in my 'pipe' right now.

I took a half PTB rolled it long way.
Folded it in half and placed into an empty mod with the fold sticking out the top.
I bent the PTB over the top of the cart on either side.
Removed the PTB from the cart then folded it at the crease making an M shape.
Filled the cart with about 15 drops.
Placed the Mod in the cart.
Added a couple more drops until topped off.

It works really well. Basically the folds on the top act as a plug while leaving room for the atty bridge. The outside folds remain on either side of the bridge when the cart is attached. For this time I did not fray it even though it probably would help in the directional wicking.
Vapor, Taste and Throat Hit is comparable to the FTF Mod.
One of the down falls is refilling. Since you cannot see when it is filling up as with the FRF mod what I have to do is stick the end of the dropper against the top of the mod and squeeze to get some juice in the cart (dropping works too) then drop until i see some liquid pooling on the top.
One of the advantages is the shape. It does not change as the FRF mod does. When you remove the cart the shape is what it is. Almost looks like lips. Another big advantage is, because it is more of a plug, there is no leaking.

I'm sorry rhoneil buddy, but... I swear the first picture you have here looks like the "chest burster" in the original "Alien" movie!!!! ;) ROTFLMAO!

Seriously... Just made a few RHO mods tonight. :)

A Happy Holiday's to you and yours my friend. :)

LOL! I see it! It does!

I have actually started using this with an atty that i boiled and toasted. It vapes unbelievable now. The only thing is the regular rho mod just sucks up the juice with it. Yes, it produces a lot of vapor but I go through the juice too quick. So Im using this one with that atty and the rho mod for my other attys.

Yeah, its been over a month (now looking at the date I posted this) and it is still in my cart. I have not cleaned it, havent even taken it out. I have been surprised that the ptb material has been lasting as long as they have. When Im bored I may make some fresh mods. But that I think this was the last one I made. I still have 2.5 boxes of PTB that I have not used so I'm pretty much set as far as material.

Originally I thought that because of the shape of this it would be a pain to take out without a paperclip or anything. But the truth is, I really dont have to take it out or even adjust it. It just works.

For attys that dont burn as hot or as smooth I would (and do) still use the FRF mods but now that I have a couple of good attys, this is what Im using so I dont suck down a whole cart in a half an hour.

awesome mod i made a couple this morning I found that folding 3 times was perfect , 4 times was to tight, Also i changed it a little ith second fold in the middle i brought it up closer to the wick then did the third fold and,cut the excess off the bottom, i had an old atty that i cut down 1 side and a cart i did the same to, so i was able to see where it was hitting the bridge,3/16 of an inch on the center folds puts it where it will touch the bridge 3 side awesome. sucks down every last drop.
