Review of the Joyetech eCab

This is thin, pen-style electronic cigarette known as the eCab (Changeable atomizer/battery) made by Joyetech. Despite appearing weak, the device manages to produce enough power to satisfy one’s vapor needs. In appearances alone, the device pulls from sophisticated and elegant themes to produce a look that is both mature and sleek. Though it is available in an array of colors, the most visually appealing ones are the black or silver versions, each with golden highlights.

A selling point of the eCab is that, unlike other entry level devices, you can interchange the battery. Also, when the atomizer finally burns out on you, the option to replace it is available.
Assemblage is rather straightforward, even though there are a total of seven pieces to the entire device. Taking the thing apart is slightly more difficult as it requires more than a little dexterity. Of notable difficulty is the task of prying the cap off of the tank in order to insert liquid into it. However, after some effort and thanks to some sturdy fingernails I managed to take it apart.
Now, this tank itself is rather small. Since the kit comes with two, should you find yourself on a night out on the town you best make sure that both are completely filled before leaving home. Or just bring your bottle of e-juice with you.

The actual experience provided by the tank (which is incidentally also the tip for the e-cig) is the only major downside to this device. Even though the atomizer can heat the liquid sufficiently to produce satisfactory amounts of vapor, during inhalation the flavor is not quite there. Only upon exhaling the vapor could I begin to sense the taste of my juice. I attribute this to the mouthpiece of the tip having a small hole, which does not allow for ample amounts of airflow.

The battery, being a 3.7V and 360mAh, lasts for around 100-150 puffs and manages to provide enough energy to provide a good amount of vapor (although, as mentioned before, the thin tip limits this). Refilling the battery only takes about two hours, and the kit comes with a pair of them so, ideally, you should not be caught without a charged battery that is ready to go.

Getting used to the eCab may take some time if you are used to other styles of devices; however, the more I use it, the more I am beginning to like it. It may not be a powerhouse, but it has that cultured feel to it and still functions pragmatically for a classy experience.

I have been using the ecab for a while now. For me, I find the flavour better than the evod or other clearos I have tried. As far as refilling, I never remove the cap, it's almost impossible and then you have to keep replacing the lids or tank as the seal is broken. I use a bottle with a very thin tip and it works just great, and a lot less messy.
