iTaste MVP Review (Innokin)

Considering the price, I was really impressed with the innokin iTaste MVP. It offers great performance and battery life in a sturdy metal package. I wish it had a resistance meter instead of a puff counter and while it will accept some eGo-threaded parts, the popular Kanger T3 won't fit on the unit without an adapter. All that aside, I believe this is one of the best values on the market today.

Full text review and additional details here.

Edit 8:44PM PT: innokin contacted me to say that the current version of the MVP will be updated so that the threading will accept clearomizers like the T3 and the next version of the MVP will have an ohm meter.

What about the people who have the first version,we are left out in the cold without the updated ohm reader in the next version????

Well, it's similar to the iPad. There are some people that are angry that Apple released two version of the iPad this year when they really shouldn't be. They knew what they were buying and they were happy with it. Just because a version with a better processor and a different charging port was released five months later doesn't make their iPad any worse.

Not to be argumentative, but your "edit" comment doesn't square with Innoken's "official" V2 statement... Misinformation of iTaste MVP version - Best Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette Manufacturer| Innokin

Would you be willing to post the communique that prompted the edit?

Thanks

I don't necessarily see those statements as not being "square" with each other. The original shipment was slightly delayed because of changes with the battery molding. That was the issue at hand at the time and had people incorrectly thinking there were two versions.

Also, I don't think it's fair to Innokin if I post a business email. What I can tell you is that my email conversation with the company took place last night, which is more recent than that company post.

Thanks. Did they say if the 'updated' ego threaded type is what's being shipped now?

Thanks for mentioning the T3. I nearly bought it but I'm sick of using adapters so I'll give it a miss.
