This blog feature is very cool, what a great way to post your thoughts and experiences to help keep your motivation up. I hope to post daily or multiple times a day to kind of see where I was and where I came from with this journey..
I received my first e-cig on Thursday April 15th at about 3pm via USPS. I had gotten a DSE901 from esmokeyshack.com as my first PV. I had heard good things about them and a friend of mine was having great success with his so I figured why not?
I didnt/dont really want to quit smoking I just needed to find a way to curb my smoking durning the day. I work at a place where you can not smoke on the grounds and its a 1/2 mile walk to the parking lot then driving out the front gate to get a fix. In all it takes me more then 20 minutes to make the round trip. The work time wasted and the gas in my car was enough to convince me I needed to find a solution. Thus the e-cig.
My first impression was I liked it. the TH was good and the tobacco flavor that came with it was pretty close to the Marlboro flavor I have known for 22 years. I didnt really notice until about bed time (11pm) that I hadnt smoked a analog since my 901 had shown up, an impressive feet to say the least. By the end of that weekend I had smoked less then a half a pack of analogs and felt pretty good about it. Then it hit me, wow I just might be able to really quit using this thing.
My first day at work, the following Monday convinced me that the 901 was not going to cut it. The battery life and the constant refills had me tied to my desk instead of moving around and working like I normally do, although I did make it through the entire day at work without a smoke and I didn't get that edgy feeling like I have in the past when not smoking. By Wednesday I was beside my self, I could kill a battery in less then 90 minutes and the other battery wasnt fully charged by then so I decided it was time to step up or give up. I had to find something that would keep up with my vaping frequency. So I ordered a SD MK2 from TotallyWicked.com.
