Fogger V2 Vertical Coil and Cotton Ball Wick Part 2

Measuring the length needed for the positive coil leg:

Positive coil leg cut to length:

Positive coil leg inserted into post (notice the wire ends halfway through the post), negative leg wrapped around paperclip:

Both post screws installed, tweezers used for pushing coil down close to the deck:

Beginning to install wick, making sure to get some under the top (negative) coil leg:

Wick installed:

6 drops of e-liquid:

Wick mostly poked back inside the deck. The easier way to get the clear o-ring in place:

Tiny bubble after a draw, sometimes the bubble is much bigger:

This is my 4th vertical coil build on the Fogger. This time the coil came to 1.16 ohm.

IMO, it works best on a mechanical mod or using a Kick 2 at 14-15 watts.

I am new at this, please feel free to leave comments and/or suggestions.

Thank you for viewing, I hope it's helpful.

Great tutorial!!!
When you attach the coil, are you wrapping it around the screws? It looks like the lead is inside the positive post? And is it important to have the bottom lead on the positive post?

edit: it looks like your posts have holes in them for the leads, bizarrely, i dont think my fogger has these holes! I could be wrong, but i have never noticed them!!

My Fogger V2 has a hole going straight through the middle of the positive post (the one insulated from the deck). I've seen pictures of others that are the same. You may need to spin the post to see the hole by turning it with the screw in place, it turns easily. The top, negative leg is under the negative post screw which does not have a hole in the side.

I tried this setup and getting flooding. Only difference is a few less coils. Any ideas?

Try using more cotton. On my 3rd build like this and each one performs better than the last. Finding the right amount of cotton can be trial and error. make sure all sides of coil are covered, and that you have cotton underneath the legs between coil and posts.

do u use single strand of cotton or double?
i cant seem to get the wicking part right...and is it ok for my fogger to preform without the o ring sitting an the chimney threads(like the white o ring in your picture)?my fogger chimney is screwed all the way down....
