Attack of the Clones

The electronic cigarette industry is full of innovations. People with a billion ideas are improving the way we vape every single day.

For each and every brand new innovation there's a rapid effort to duplicate it.

A craftsman can build a mod on a Monday, put it for sale on a Tuesday, and there will be a clone within a week or more.

Which is both good and bad. The clones give all of us the ability to grab a nice looking device at a reasonable price. But, it keeps the innovators from wanting to build new stuff.

Luckily so far it hasn't stopped the innovation. Which is great. There's a constant supply of new items coming out, and some of these modders and innovators are simply brilliant. Creating things that not only work amazingly, but are super clean and beautiful.

While I would rather own something from the craftsman who created it, I do own several clones. Simply because I don't make enough money to buy the real ones yet. Rest assured once I do have that money, I will support the craftsmen.

Let's face it, many of the cloned items that are coming out are just hitting a broader audience, and helping bring vaping to the masses anyway. Which is beautiful. Yeah the companies that do the cloning are just in it for a dollar, and aren't really concerned with the quality like a craftsman, but, they're still helping spread the community.

My advice when shopping around for these things is simple. If you can afford to buy the original buy it. If you can't, buy what you can afford. As long as you vape that's all that matters.
