a bit of a rant, advice for new vapers, will I quit vaping?

Everyone's goals with vaping are different. I often get asked if I will "do that forever". The short answer is yes.

But a whole new situation arises with the dichotomy of quiting..Some folks can start vaping and get so optimistic that they quit all together, but much too early..

Especially considering my close friend did this exact same thing. She took a puff off of my 510 when I first began vaping and instantly loved it. Long story short she ended up with my old 510 when I got a twist. I was vaping hard and done with smoking as soon I got my first 510 and she was too(so I thought)when I gave her mine. Before I knew it two weeks went by and she was vaping 0nic going on about how she didn't even need to vape as much. She was slowly falling in love with the indepence away from smoking..A few nights passed and we went out and watched the game and she had a few drinks and I look over to see she was smoking MARLBOROS like a chimney..She ended up with her starter kit sitting in her room never to be touched.

She still says she is going to try again but never fails to find a way to procrastinate. She bought her husband a starter kit for Christmas and said she'd try again with him on christmas. She wanted to "start over". Christmas was five days ago and she hasn't touched her starter kit. Although he has cut down on cancer sticks with using his. Which is awesome.

I also tried explaining, cig look a likes aren't going to keep you off cancer sticks(for long at least). But she has lost interest in investing herself in good quality vaping. She is stuck on having a pretty LED on the end and it all looking like a cigarette. She refuses to except that vaping ISN'T "fake smoking" any more like it was four years ago.

Aside from my ranting the moral of that story is if you plan to stop vaping all together, don't put entirely too much faith in vaping. It isn't the cure for smoking. While it is way easier to quit vaping make sure you aren't still addicted to cigarettes before quitting vaping. And don't beat yourself up and race your way to quitting vaping. Vaping isn't killing you. It's dramatically less harmful. As smokers we never raced our way to quitting cancer sticks. Why do it with the much healthier alternative? Give yourself time and enjoy vaping. Quitting analogs was the big step.

As for me though, I remember thinking back "I'd smoke forever if it didn't kill me". Now I can do just that but way better. Me and my sister love the crazy goofy looking mods like the box mods and the rough stack. We don't want a wimpy 510. I've found a world of juices, and tanks, and mods that are unbelievably interesting. Like grimmgreen said "vaping is my thing" and I will do it as long as I can. I see no need to quit. I have entertained the idea of going to no nic and probably will one day but as for vaping all together, I am in it for the long run. Otherwise I wouldn't need a Provari and all of the dozens of mods I will eventually get.

For those who plan of eventually quitting that's fantastic. I congradulate you and support your choice. But I am a vaper and I think I like it here. :)
