I received my Variable Voltage Riva 650mAh a few days ago and I have some feedback that I would like to share.
First of all its not a mod but a mass produced version of the Riva 510. The VV Riva has 3 different voltage sets (3.3V, 3.7V and 4.2V) but its still not too different than a regular Riva 510 SE that I have.
Pros:
- Led meter that shows the baterry charge (5 red led bar)
- If you feel that the flavor is week you can change the voltage by clicking 5 times and the colored ring at the carto end will change its color: Red=3.3V, Purple = 3.7V, Blue=4.2V
- You can try different setups, carto's and atty's and find which one is better or works better for you
- Works with a regular Riva 510 charger
Cons:
- Once the battery is below the 4rd led (3 leds remaining is about 50%) the output voltage seems to change. It seems to be a known "behavior" for all Riva's by the way.
Overall:
- I really liked this one, its a bigger version of the 510 Riva SE that I have but its still portable and lower than other VV PVs that I found. If you're looking for a non expensive VV battery this is definitely a good option.
