Just a few words from another Aussie out there!

The future of e-cigarettes, e-juice and everything vaping wise does seem bleak, there are many places banning the sale and use of these products and continuing to do so while I type this single page of text. The ‘caring’ people who don’t want to miss out by suddenly not getting the money that you are now spending on cigarettes, they are the ones driving this forward. (The tobacco companies and no doubt the governments as well)

I read that the last price increase on cigarettes in Australia was worth 6 billion dollars to these people? Tell me how putting up the price of something ‘that is known to kill people’ is helping people quit? These big money players have also been making billions out of the ‘stop smoking’ products, nicotine gum, patches etc: If they cant get your money from cigarettes they are quite happy to get it from these ‘stop smoking’ products that never seemed to get the job done well enough for me.
Can someone please tell me why patches, nicotine gum & other type products are not free; wouldn’t they be free if they really wanted people to stop smoking? No they’re not free, in fact they’re far from free, they are bloody expensive.

So along comes a product that I have seen more people achieve results from over a few months than I have seen from these so called quitting products in years and they want to ban this product?
Yea they want to ban it so they can take control of it to maintain their profits, that’s exactly what I believe they want to do.
I believe when they can ban it completely, then they will introduce their own version of these products and suddenly these products will be then ok, but I can guarantee you wont be paying $10 a bottle for something that can last you 2 weeks and save you $150 a fortnight. You’ll be paying a hell of a lot more for it then as well as the vaporizing devices.

Many people around the world are trying to fight these bans and we should do this for as long as we can, but we are fighting big money players whose profits are more important then the health of the people. What pi$$es me right off the most is the governments that pretend to care about your health, but do they care? They like to see the money continuing to come in just as much as the tobacco companies like to see the money coming in.

They are fueling their fight to ban these products based on lies and false or misleading claims, they base their fight after making statements along the lines of “although we acknowledge that in FIVE years we have been unable to link any health issues to this activity, it still should not be allowed to continue until we find something we can link it to”.

But at the same time as they make these statements, they allow a million and one places to sell you a product that is well known to contain over 4000 dangerous chemicals and has been positively linked to many known health issues, i.e.: cancer, heart disease, stroke (to name but a few of the many that we all know about).

From memory, in Australia, the government first stops advertising cigarettes on TV & Radio to show their ‘commitment’ to a healthier lifestyle. Then they stop sponsorship at sporting events, then stop cigarette signs being displayed in shops, next they stop people seeing the cigarette packets displayed in the shops (they hide them behind little flaps that you can still see the packets as they open them), they then put “These things will kill you” type slogans on the packets, then they put pictures on the packets showing in ghastly full coloured ways how you ‘will be slowly killed by these cigarettes, now they are going to take away the ability to have any colours on packets of cigarettes…if these things are that bad why don’t they just stop selling them?

Why are cigarettes not banned now? Because they don’t want to lose the MONEY they make!
I cannot for the life of me (no pun intended) wonder why they are pointing the finger at something new are clearly healthier, when they have something older out there that KILLS PEOPLE.

So let me clarify what they are really saying here “We know cigarettes kill you, that’s been proven, but it’s ok for people to continue to sell them and it’s ok for you to continue to smoke them, it’s also ok for us to continually introduce loads of new and interesting ways to ‘make it look like’ we are doing something about smoking and it’s ok for us to treat you all like ...... because “you can see we are doing something about it, RIGHT?”
This other vaping thing doesn’t seem to kill you or doesn’t even seem to harm you at all, but I think it’s best we stop you getting access to it immediately”

You know what I say to that: F#@K off!!

In my opinion, smokers who hesitate getting hold of one of the many vaporizing devices out there are missing out on a way to stop these people idly standing by watching you kill yourself, because there is a healthier alternative.

People have a right to make health choices for themselves, I am making a choice for myself “I choose to enjoy the relaxation that nicotine gives me, but by vaping over smoking… and those cigarette peddling murderers can stick their cigarettes where they fit”.
