So here I am, eleven days without a cigarette, and doing fairly well. Have had a couple frustrating moments with my PV's, but I'm still learning, and I'm still healthy. First off I am now somewhat over the "newness" of how "cool" and convienent my pv is, and now I'm focusing more on satisfying my cravings for analogs.
I think I started out with too low of nicotine. I'm vaping 16mg, but I probably should have went for the 24, at least in the begining. I am still having withdrawls from all the other stuff in an analog that I am no longer getting, so adding the decreased amount of nicotine makes me a bit (but just a bit) irritable. I constantly have my pv either in my hand, or within arms reach, and I am still using it as a pacifier. I really haven't been getting that satisfying feeling you get with an analog, so I have been trying all different combos of stuff to see what works for me. Ie: carts & attys, pre-filled carts, carts w/ the blue foam mod, cartomizer, drip tip, carto w/ a drip tip, my 510, my Ego, and every combo possible between the two.
It seems I'm only getting a great hit every once in awhile, and I'm trying to pinpoint just why that is. Part of it I think is my atty (or carto) almost always seems either flooded or too dry. Now, with the prefilled it seems to be less of the case, for some reason they just seem to work better than me doing it myself, but they taste nasty and dry out quick, but at least I get some good hits before it does that.
One thing I have learned and am trying to perfect is the way you take a drag off the PV can make ALL the difference in the TH. I just recently figured this out. I have been "smoking" my pv like you would an analog, and it just hasnt been very satisfying. The other day I was trying to get a ton of vapor to blow out and took a quick "primer puff", followed by a long slow soft drag, and voila! Tremendous TH with tons of vapor and best of all, that satisfaction I have been looking for. Now to replicate this I have found that the atty or carto can not have too little or too much juice. So now I just need to work on that. Oh, and I like to hold the button down for a second or two to warm up the atty before I take my drag. That seems to help too.
Also, I love my 510. Even over the Ego, but everyone is right, the battery life sucks. The mega battery I got did make a HUGE improvement, but it doesn't fit in my PCC. UGH. The Ego battery I have is the 650 I think, so it's not the largest by any means, but it still beats the 510 hands down. I would love to get a pcc for the mega 510 batteries. I think that's about all for now.
