  1. The Zmax 1

I've been giving the Zmax some good solid use and it works well. (Pics at the end of the post.) I've used cartomizers and Vision vivi novas on it fine. It does have a slightly long firing time - you push the button and it fires for a second after release. Mine is chrome and pretty sturdy. Some people complained about them wobbling when trying to stand them up due to rounded end caps. Mine has a flat cap and stands up fine.

The power is consistent. The reading for actual battery voltage

  2. How to use a Digital Multi-Meter

by , 10-27-2012 at 06:23 PM (The Vaping Alternative)
As a follow up to my post on Mod Battery Safety I will add the video below by GeekGirlVaper on how to use a digital multi-meter. They are a good tool to have for battery safety, and are not difficult to use. The video is by a vaper so it specifically shows how to use a mutli-meter for vaping needs. The main thing to remember with these it to set them at a higher voltage then the battery you are measuring. e.g. If your battery is in the 3.7-4.2 volt range, set the multi-meter at 20v.

  3. Mod Battery Safety

Here's some battery safety precautions that are worth sticking to. I use AW IMR 18650 batteries, which have a very good reputation.

    1. Don't leave your batteries on the charger unattended, and don't leave them charging all night while you're sleeping. You can increase the safety by charging them in a lipo safe charging bag (see how to here), which some vendors sell.
    2. Remove your batteries from the charger when they are charged (light goes green). Give them a rest time before

  4. What does battery mah mean?

by , 09-11-2012 at 07:30 AM (The Vaping Alternative)
Batteries mah is measure of a battery's storage capacity. Mah stands for milliamperes per hour.
Generally you can calculate how much actual vape time you'll get from a battery by the mah of the battery.

So - a 320 mah battery should give you about 3 hours of vaping. A 650 mah would give about 6-6.5 hours, a 900 mah would give about 9 hours and so on.

The bigger the mah the longer the battery should last between charges. However, don't confuse the mah with the power
