  1. Calculating Battery Drain Current

    by , 12-24-2012 at 04:52 AM
    A common misconception is that you can just use Ohm's law with your output voltage and resistance to calculate the battery drain current. When you are using a variable voltage APV, this is the wrong way to calculate the current. The output is only half of the equation.

    To accurately calculate the input current, you must use both sides of the equation; Input and Output.

    The law of conservation of energy states that power in (watts) must equal power out. (The true statement ...

  2. Overfill your Carto and made a mess? How to clean up in EZ steps.

    by , 06-20-2012 at 01:46 PM
    [QUOTE=caffeinator;6437418]It happens with cartos.

    I don't fill them on the batt as I usually condom fill the first time, but then I just add drops as needed to keep it "shushy" like.

    But, sometimes it drips down. You can tell immediately from the drop in performance and/or gurgles.

    Just take the carto off, and check the batt connector.

    Here's my e-power with some overflow in the top of the batt....nothing major.

  3. Batteries. Chinese VV PV's. Vendors. This is what I know and what I believe.

    I'm posting the following as a blog entry rather than in the open forums because I'm not a modder, engineer, or anything that would traditionally qualify me as an expert on these subjects. If you read what I have posted below and disagree, that's fine, but I'm not interested in defending my informed opinions because some might argue that I don't have the proper background to form and express said opinions. I do have a college degree from a reputable university, so at least I'm trained to competently ...
  4. Ecigexpress. 3 batteries. 3 weeks. All dead. Buyer Beware!

    by , 11-12-2011 at 04:15 PM

    As stated earlier, ECigExpress.com refuses to take these batteries back without me shipping them back at my own expense. If I ship them back and then they deem them defected then I get my money back but as I would have to spend more money to get that satisfaction, its a case of "Good Money after Bad."

    Do yourself a favor and dont deal with this vendor. Its not worth the time and headache.
