Just Starting Out

I have been reading about PVs for about a week now. I subscribed here a few days ago, and have been reading since. This appears to be the best place for sharing info.

I've already learned a lot. I understand 2 piece vs. 3 piece. I've figured out there are different models based on size. I am still trying to figure out the brand names in relation to the model numbers. There needs to be a comprehensive chart of what's a 510, what's a 901, etc. If there is, it should be stickied at the top of the noob section. hopefully i'll find one soon.

The technology is evolving RIGHT NOW. the comments from '08 and '09 seem invalid now, as atomizers, cartomizers, and batteries are all improving. it doesn't make it easier to decide.

i really want a cig sized model to start. i don't want to be sucking on a Sharpie marker. i want to duplicate my appreciation for smoking cloves.

My cloves were slim cigs, so they're thinner and longer than a standard cig. So i really want the slimmest PV i can find. Most reviews of early super mini PVs indicate they leak, you suck fluid, and the battery dies fast. i'm hoping these issues are being addressed. i'm already seeing new "500 puffs" models, which must be due to some new breakthrough. c'mon, new break throughs. keep 'em coming.

i will continue reading and chatting until i can make up my mind on a PV. ideally, i'd like to master the hobby, then get a friend to quit her pack-a-day habit by showing her what vaping is about. so I want to become a pro at this quickly. hopefully i'll get the help here that i need to do so.

if you're reading this, hey thanx. i'm available to discuss anything anytime, so shoot me a note. i'm not judgmental or a know-it-all, so have no worries.

peace out,
Tj
