Taking Vaping Gear & "E-Liquids" On A Plane Trip . . .

Okay - I see people still ask the question and do not know what to do when they are taking a flight somewhere, especially if they should pack their "Vape" gear into a suitcase or their carry-on luggage . . . Or be able to "Vape" while traveling from one city to another on the plane or in the airport . . . Well, since I fly every 5-6 Weeks, here is what I have learned and what "You" might want to know . . .
DO NOT - I MEAN DO NOT - Pack in any "Checked" suitcase any "E-liquids" in large quantities, especially any "pre-filled" Tanks . . . THEY WILL LEAK/CRACK or "EXPLODE", especially if "You" are not very careful how "You" have packed them . . . I Speak From Experience - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED . . .

AND - Although TSA Agents are quite aware of "eCigs"; and the like, I know they will frown at someone carrying on board large bottles of "E-Liquids", Big Huge MODS, or any APV's that they cannot recognize . . .

Remember TSA Regulations are that no liquids over 3oz in a container are allowed on the plane (and as I have mentioned not good to pack either) . . . However - That does not stop you from bringing 20 bottles with you, but under 3oz each . . . AND - If I may suggest, whether or not you are bringing that many bottles of "E-Liquids" - put each bottle in a separate "Plastic Sealed Bag" and then into a Larger 1 gallon "Plastic Zip-lock Bag" so it is easier to take out and then put back into your carry-on luggage if/when "YOU" NEED TO. . .
Just Sayin' . . .

Now - I do not Vape as much as many people (or possibly "You") do, but I bring 2 - Volt 78 Batteries (in a Personal Charger/Carry Case that also holds 6 KR808 Cartomizers), a "Bolt" (w/18650 Battery), and a Custom "SS Zmax Mini" that uses a 18390 Battery (all fully charged) along with 3 - 5ml Bottles & 5 - 3ml Bottles of "E-Liquid"; and 4 - 510 Boge Cartomizers; 2 - 510 "Drip Atties"; 1 - Bottle Buddy that holds a sm bottle of Menthol & Kolada . . . which all fits into a "Zune" Hard-sided Case (and can still be found online for less then the $5.00 I paid) that I modified just a little to hold the PCC and does fit into one of "My" Carry-on's . . .

Here is a Picture:

BTW: For those who maybe interested - here is an actual picture of what I travel with when I take a Plane or just go on any trip when I NEED to take some of "My" Vape Gear for a Week/Weekend:

Right Side - Left Side
w/Partition Cover Flipped

What's Inside
AND - Only once have I been asked by TSA to take My eCig "Stuff" out of the Carry-on since I was told that they need to inspect it - after that never again . . .

TSA had more of a problem with the little "Snacks", including a couple of boxes of Tuna Fish/Crackers I have to take "Me", because of "My" diabetes . . .

BTW: When, I also leave all "My" Bottles of "E-Liquids" in the case, sometimes they have not asked to remove them from there . . .

AS - For any "Vaping" in an Airport - it depends on the specific airport and if they also have someone selling "E-Cigarettes" there or not . . . Some Will - Some Will Not Allow "You" to Vape inside and will insist that "You" go outside with the cigarette smokers . . . SO - It is important to check with the Airport Policy . . . (Personally, especially when in the waiting area at the gate, I have on occasion either "Stealth Vaped" there or quickly went into the lavatory with no problem/s since I was discreet - I know unbelievable, but still true I was discreet about it . . . )

It should also be noted, that the Major Airlines DO NOT ALLOW VAPING on the plane, some have even made announcements on the plane about passengers not using "ECigs"/"Cigars"/"Pipes" specifically too, especially given FAA . . .

One last thing - if "You" should try to "Stealth Vape" on the plane PLEASE be very careful - if caught, not only might the Plane be forced to turn around or land somewhere else - Ya' will be arrested as if "You" were smoking a cigarette . . . Just Sayin' . .

ALSO - MAKE SURE ALL "e-Cig" BATTERIES ARE
TURNED OFF

Now for the Disclaimer:

This is and has been "My" Personal Experience, I in NO WAY imply or say that this will be "YOUR" Experience at all . . .

I Just Hope "You" Are Now Informed & Have A NICE TRIP ! ! !

just one thing to add, if while you are at the airport you should be able to pick up one of the courtesy phones and dial information to ask their policy for ecigs (i called mine a personal electronic inhilation system which confused the person i talked to until i said ecig) and they might say feel free (like IND Indianapolis airport did in Nov 2013, and MCO Orlando, fl in Nov 2013) or be courteous of people around me. i was asked nicely not to vape around a lady and gate attendant asked my name to page me when flight was boarding so i could wander to a empty area.

Yep - Already mentioned in the blog that each Airport has their own policy concerning the use of "E-Cigarettes". . . So - If "You" want to make sure it is very important to call the airport customer service ahead of time to find out and/or to be extremely discrete even use an Unflavored/No Odor "E-Liquid" if "You" should try to "Stealth-Vape" . . . Just Sayin' . . .
