my diy, bare bones, simple mechs

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
my first try just to get the feel of it (at the time I had never used a bottom button so I needed to give it a try
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
as simple as it could get

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
made the first button
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I managed to make a mech switch for it today
It works ok but a little stiff I just used one of the extra springs that I got in my second zmax bottom cap after ruining 2 of my kids toys trying to take out their spring

the holder

I've now changed the format from a 18490 to 18650, made the walnut sleve and I'm getting closer to the final product!

here is the wooden tube with the exposed switch

my idea here is to trim a few mm from the sides and make a stainless sleeve to get rid of the wooble

and this sleeve will also function as a safety switch
here is the sleeve in unlocked position

and locked

this modding thing is much easier that I thought!!

don't worry I still have to drill some vent holes
