Penelope build for ric23 part 1

I sent a lengthy PM from work that said it went through, but apparently didn't, so here's a guide I promised in a message I never sent!

Gather your supplies!

You'll need your Penelope dissassebled, silica wick, R wire, NR wire, and scissors at the minimum. I also have a pair of needle nose tweezers that I use but they're not necessary (just very handy).

Cut about 3 inches of wick, two 3 inch pieces of NR wire, and a length of R wire to get your target resistance. In this case, I have about 2 inches aiming for 2 ohms.

First you'll want to grab the R wire and a piece of NR and get them side by side as even as possible and make a V shape.

Then twist them together the best you can. I usually use the needle nose tweezers for this but did it by hand for a better example of what you might make.

Then your going to want to pinch the wrapped part and wrap the NR back around the twisted joint about half way to the end.

Then fold the twisted end back onto the newly NR wrapped half and get something like this hopefully.

This one is pretty terrible looking, but I don't wrap coils to win beauty contests, I wrap them to vape the crap out of them! =P

Then you'll want to repeat this process on the other side with the other piece of NR to get something that looks like this:

Silver NR on both ends and Kanthal R in the middle.

Then you wrap the middle R section around your silica wick on the middle, making sure its hugging the wick but not so tight as to choke the juice flow. I usually try to wrap the twist joints around the wick as well and of course, this one looks pretty terrible.
