I watch a lot of vids of folks building coils and wrapping wicks;some are tight and heat treated to stay that way and others are open and spaced properly to avoid hot spots. I know that the gauge of coil used and the length determine the resistance (OMS) but is this more of a personal preference or is it application specific? How do I determine what the right build should be?
