KR808D-1 Pocket Case Find

Simplicity also played a factor in my search for a carrying case. I already had a PCC, figured it would come in handy for 12-hour days at work or long trips. However, the PCC was bulky and couldn't hold a fully assembled e-cig, so I bought one of those $5 aluminum cases that everybody sells. It worked great, but it wasn't all that pleasant to look at and eventually the cheap pocket clip snapped from constant use in my jean pockets.

After a couple of days of searching the vast internet and checking dimensions, I stumbled upon what I believe to be the best option for me:

Travel Chopsticks

I know, you're probably thinking: "Chopsticks?!"
The chopsticks are a nice bonus included in the package, but I was after the case they come with. It was big enough to contain my e-cig, but small enough to fit in my pocket. Not to mention it's fastened with a pen-style clip!

Pros:
  • Full-Assembled standard size KR808d-1 w/ cool carts fits. Roughly 2 mm on each side left over space. Enough to line with absorbent cloth material.
  • Sturdy, light construction. (Plastic?)
  • Sturdy metal pen-style clip for securing in pockets or on shirt.
  • Not bulky, fits easily into pocket. ~Same diameter as a 2-AAA Mag-lite.
  • Pretty, easy on the eyes. While it may look like it contains eyeliner, I believe it can pass for a cigar holder.
  • Some kind of (removable) silicon liner which is soft, protects e-cig from scratches/damage.
  • Floats, water-resistant, but not waterproof.
  • You can vape with it in the case, just take the cap off.
  • Comes with chopsticks, which are of good quality!
Cons:
  • Mine has "YAMAZAKI" and "MY CHOPSTICKS(R)" written on it, but I have seen some other products without any writing. Also, seems easy enough to custom paint.
  • Not waterproof. I did a quick test by filling with toilet paper and dunking in sink for a minute. Only ends of toilet paper showed absorption. Will most likely protect accidental drops in water, but not fully submerged

Dimensions:
  • Height: 134 mm
  • Diameter: 18 mm
  • Internal Height: ~125 mm
  • Internal Diameter: 14 mm

Where to buy:
As I can't post links, I'll just have to tell you I bought mine at Amazon. There are many different places to purchase similar items from such as eBay, but I wanted to purchase from a site I can trust 100%. "Travel Chopsticks" is what I searched for to find my 'case'. The particular one I have is called "Yamazaki Stainless Steel My Chopsticks Pair."

Price:
$3-15
