Default Very strange problem with my BLU - Please HELP!

I am having a strange issue with my Blu cigs, and wondered if I am doing something wrong or if others are having the same problem. Here is what’s happening.

I pick up my Blu cig and take a drag. The first drag is great. It’s easy to pull, fires up right away, and produces a lot of vapor. I can feel it in my throat and I can feel it filling my lungs. I hold it for a few seconds and then exhale. I see lots of vapor and it feels great! Easy drag, lots of vapor, very nice!

Then the second drag….nothing. Well I shouldn’t say nothing, it more like almost nothing. I see a little bit of vapor, but don’t really feel it. So I take another drag, and this time I pull really really hard for like 20 seconds straight, and then exhale right away to see what I got. Barely anything….

I put it down, walk away, and come back in an hour. I pick it back up and the first drag is awesome! Lots of vapor, easy pull, great hit. Second drag, nothing again. I put it down for another hour, come back. First hit is perfect, second hit nothing. Third hit nothing. Fourth hit nothing.

Now, I can’t imagine you are only supposed to take one hit per hour on these things! Am I doing something wrong? I have two batteries and two attys. I tried both batteries and made sure both were fully charged. I tried each atty with each battery. Same results. I have tried many different cartridges with each atty/battery setup. Same results. I was thinking that both attys might be defective, but if that is the case, why do they work SO well on the first hit after an hour of non-use?

I would absolutely love these things if every hit was like the first! Did I get defective ones? Did I just get what I paid for, and maybe I should get one of the $150 e-cigs? Is anybody else having this problem? Sorry for the long post – any help or advice will be greatly appreciated!

You bought an ecig that sucks and was overpriced. Buy a 801 or 901 kit ($17 from the link in my cig, or around $27 from Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop). It's a workhorse and Ruyan offers a 1 year warranty on the parts. Just remember that unless you're ordering Johnson Creek juice or a mod, you can get it directly from a China supplier for probably 20-40% of what US middlemen try to charge you.

Is is possible that the cartridges are just not wicking quick enough to the atty? You might want to make sure that they are fully saturated. Sorry I can't be of more help but, I'm not familiar with the model.

I was thinking the same thing, but I have followed all the directions and I believe I am using these properly....I don't know why I would be encountering this problem except for maybe these BLU cigs just don't work that well....

    Hello Maximo:

As other's have stated your cartridges are too dry. Who knows why? Get a bottle of liquid and top them up.

I don't own the B--, nor would I reccomend them. But since you have already purchased it you might as well try to make it work. Before you purchase another PV please do your research on this form. Then you will be assured you have made a reasonable choice for yourself.

Good luck to you, and welcome to ECF.

If you use the dipping or dripping method you can get consistent hits with the Blu. Unfortunately the fluid just doesn't seem to wick into the atomizer quickly enough if you are just using the carts the way they come from Blu...

You might try refilling the carts with some polyester batting material from a place like JoAnn Fabric, or some fish tank air pump filter material, and make sure it isn't too tightly or too loosely packed and reaches the bottom of the cart. That way it won't get pushed back, away from the atomizer wick. I believe that's the reason the carts aren't allowing consistent vapor and aren't being drained effectively

Agnes and Nikko - thank you for your replies. I might try your suggestions Nikko, but I might try getting another model e-cig too. I guess I should have done more research. After spending all day on these forums, it seems like M402 might be a good one for me, and I'll definitely be getting my own liquid to refill the carts myself. When I bought from BLU, I went into it knowing that they might not be the best quality based on the price, so I don't feel too burnt. But I think i'll try some other brands...

i had the same problem with the blu carts. they do not have enough stuffing in them. at least that is how it seemed to me. the filler gets pushed down really easy and does not always connect like it should.

I did not know the cartridge filler was not long enough as Dark Angel said. You could try to lift it up to the edge of the cart with tweesers or toothpick or paperclip to see if it helps. If you find that is the problem, do as some of the others suggested and restuff the cartridges then refill with liquid. Hope you figure it out.

    Best to you.

I guess the hypnotic trance that the makers of Blu put customers in to make them buy the product does not extend to continuing to love it after they get it in their hands.

They need to work on that.
