We need a representative...Someone that's educated, well spoken, well read and ready to do work. A disorganized letter writing / email campaign isn't likely to have a major impact on anything. This issue shouldn't be shotgunned, it should be surgically handled...

Personally, I think the suppliers should select one or two people as spokespersons for the cause and those people should begin collecting the data and support necessary to get this thing noticed. Those suppliers should be calling televisions, newspapers, radio stations and magazines. They should be getting the issue known to the general public and sending out a rallying cry to smokers and non-smokers alike. A few hundred people from ECF aren't going to make much of a dent but if you guys get the public behind the issue and make it as huge and as visible as possible then there's the possibility of seeing some positive change.

I've said this before and it seemed like nobody wanted to listen...Get the masses to speak and make sure people all over the country know what vaping is. Organize and make it happen.
Terraphon--I would concur with what you have said here 100%. We need two good spokespeople and a lot of PR to make any difference. I have repeated many times that the clock was running and that constructive action needs to be advanced. So lets all get on the same page and get going!! --Sun

Sun - As soon as we can release details we will. However, we have several PR possibilities who are very familiar with the Hill and it will be good. Hang tight. There is still sunshine. I promise. We are just in a time sensitive situation and THIS is the next step.

We have been informed that emails do not get read. Period. The letters must be sent via mail and that certified is the way to go. But yes... Mage thank you for your efforts!

Let's cover them up with polite and respectful emails about how e-cigs have changed our lives.

I can pretty much guarantee you that most pen and paper mail doesn't get read, either. All of the senators and congressmen have assistants who open and screen their mail. A few people sending letters will NOT get noticed. Oh, I'll go ahead and send letters to my congressman and my senator and my governor and my mayor...hell, I'll even send one to POTUS, himself but that's not going to change anything.

Get on the stick and make an issue out of this. Remember the old saying "the squeaky wheel gets the grease"? Well, the wheel has to squeak loud enough to be heard and this ain't the way to do it.

Lacey, If I understand you correctly we send a hand written/typed letter to each of the people listed plus our own guys.

We have the list, but can you edit to include each person's correct title and address.

Can you please give us a brief outline of the key issues we need to address in our letters. This would be of great help to me to ensure that I don't skip over something important.

Also, a list of any issues to avoid mentioning.

I will be signing-off shortly, but will check-in early and complete the letters in the morning.
How strange is the lot of us mortals! Each of us is here for a brief sojourn; for what purpose he knows not, though he senses it. But without deeper reflection one knows from daily life that one exists for other people.
