Angry Texas Senator Cornyn can't read:

Sent him e-mail about FDA and e-cigarettes and he thanked me for my comments on Food safety.

I e-mailed him back and Ask that he please read my comments before he responsed, since I did not comment on Food Safety. I also indicated that if this was how he handle all our business in Washingon we may be in trouble. I assured him I would tell all my friends and family what a good job he was doing.

I tryed to be polite and not to be rude to our esteamed Senator from Texas.

Reminds me of what my U.S. Congressman (House of Reps - Dan Boren) did to me. I sent an email about the CPSIA legislation and got a reply that was not only about a different subject, but it referred to two bills that were supposedly going to be voted on soon. I looked up the bills and they were from a previous congressional session!

Sady typical of what has become US pols in general.

Don't know how many times I have heard people bitch about having written their pols and gotten back a form letter thanking them for supporting the opposite of what they wrote about.

US pols are totally out of touch with reality as us common folks know it. Worse they are arrogant, ignorant, pandering and greedy (to be kind).

Your letters are being read by unpaid interns. Our congressmen are far too busy diddling said interns to look at your letters personally.

The total lack of responsiveness on the part of our "representatives" is our own fault. Our failure to hold them responsible for their actions has allowed them to collect power to the point that they no longer care what we think. We continue to re-elect them regardless of their behavior. If you want to make a difference you have to vote and fire them. Voting once every four years for a new President and ignoring local, state, and congressional elections during the "off years" has allowed them to ignore us and do whatever they please. The false loyalty to Democrats or Republicans is also ridiculous. The only difference is what they spend money on. Too many of us believe that Dems good, Repubs bad, or Repubs good, Dems bad. They are ALL bad the only thing they care about is more power and control for themselves and to heck with us. They come around and tell us lies and pat us on the head at re-election time and then it's back to their all expense paid cushy lives in DC.

He will want to get reelected and I have a memory like and elephant. I will tell everyone again what a good job he is doing for us and the key word is US (TEXANS). WE can be SURE HE IS TAKING BETTER CARE OF HIMSELF, he is not working overtime for us in Texans.

I'd like to see every working citizen in this country, skip a Friday from work. That might get their attention.

You're not alone. Bastards live within the political class and never get out with the people they enslave, errr govern, who all agree with anything they think or do, so why wouldn't you? Of course you do... Arrogance and hubris have taken over the political class.

Rope, lamp post, pol / bureaucrap - some assembly required (I hear that an awful lot lately - from all sides of the political street)...
