Default I'm both confused and concerned

If they aren't illegal and there is only an advisory out to consumers.....on what grounds can customs seize the product? If they think it's a harmful product, then prove it. What if I operated on suspicions at work?
Gee, I think you may be goofing off too much during working hours. I don't have proof but I'm still going to fire you.
I placed an order last week to stock up on EVO parts from the UK. Just a couple of batteries and some attys (no liquid). I never had any problems in the past and expected my order to arrive in about 10 days. The next day I recieved an email from them stating that they were cancelling my order. They no longer ship to Canada because many of the shipments are being seized.

I realize there are 401's and 402's available and I have some that I use as back up. But I really prefer my EVO. What do I do now?

Default Customs can refuse but not seize

    Hi guys,

According to Canadian law, Customs can refuse shipment of goods even though they are not technically banned IF those goods do not meet Canadian health and safety standards. This is the law that Health Canada is using right now. It means that Customs CANNOT seize the shipment, and can only return it to the sender. That is the extent of their power in this case. If you have a shipment returned to the sender, then that sender should be giving you back your money, minus any COD shipping charges the return cost. I repeat, it is ILLEGAL for Customs to seize shipments of e-cigarettes, so if they are holding them, they are doing so OUTSIDE the law. That having been said, whether they're seized or returned, you still don't get your e-cigs. However, anyone who's had a shipment returned should be entitled to their money back minus shipping.

I would talk to them and let them know that the shipments can't be seized legally, they can only be returned. If orders are really being seized then they and their customers need to lodge a complaint with Customs, as seizure in this case is illegal. I would also point out that since you aren't ordering any e-liquid or nicotine-containing products, your order should not be stopped by Customs at all. Make sure they label the shipment as electronic goods only and there should be no issue.

Shipments are being returned as 'incomplete address' having had the address label removed. Apparently their scanning machines have 'learnt' to recognise vaping equipment. We have temporarily suspended shipping there to save customers the expense of shipping. I don't know what the situation is like posting from the US into Canada but Uncle Noah at Innovapor has lots of EVO goodies. Sorry for the inconvenience and we are working on Helath Canada.

    John,
Thank you for the update, it is appreciated that you have provided a explanation for the current situation, hope it goes well with that "working on Health Canada". I have a vested interest in that as I use the EVO as one of my personal vaporizers myself.

All the best and Happy Vaping,
