Default Question about airplanes and e-cigs

Hi all, I'm taking a flight next week on Air Canada from Toronto to Vancouver and I was wondering if anyone knew their policies on e-cigs during flights. Will they let me vape on the plane? Will I even be allowed to bring it on the plane in my pocket? I'm sort of scared they'll take one look at it as I walk through customs and confiscate it or something. If anything, do you guys think the smoke detectors in the bathrooms will detect the vapor? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks guys!

I remember either seeing or hearing from someone that the vapour will set off the smoke detectors in the bathrooms.

well that sucks!! take some nicorette gum with you too then. It has come a long long way since first introduced I tell ya and really it does work. Of course you don't get a nic hit but once it gets into your system (about 5 min from the start of chewing) you're good.

Thanks, now I'm going to have to test every smoke detector I can to see if I can set it off with my eGo.

I just flew to colorado and back last week. I threw an ego t batt, a dual coil and a small bottle of juice in my carry on bag. Went to the bathroom on the plane every hour or so to vape. I would just hold my inhale in for a few extra sedonds. Didn't have any problems at all.

I have never had a problem on any flight I have been on whatsoever.. when at your seat dont be a douche about it ,, just be discrete... and if you want to have a good go then go to the washroom, never have I set off the detectors... when im blowing big clouds i just push the button for the sink drain and it sucks my huge cloud right down!....

Yes, you are allowed to carry it on but definitely not allowed to vape.

Personally, I wouldn't vape anywhere that smokers couldn't smoke just because it's technically not a cigarette. I'm in the "Do what smokers do" camp so not to bring unwanted negative opinion on ecigs.
