What to expect when Canadian Customs Refuses your Shipment

You might be fine as the company name 'Health Cabin' is pretty innocent. In retrospect, have to wonder if Beci uses his/her business name on the return address and, if so ... well ... I guess getting a package from an outfit called 'Best E-Cig' is kind of a dead giveaway. I know that lots of people have ordered from Beci with no problems. It's just the luck of the draw and this is a prime example of why I don't buy lottery tickets!

A good idea to take whatever precautions you can. A friend and I went in together on an order of penstyle parts and cartridges from China and it did get confiscated. She got the letter from Health Canada today. Ordered from Best Ecig - anyone know if, on the return address portion, they list themselves as Best Ecig? First time we've ordered like that and was wondering ... kind of like a red flag if they do. Anyway, have to figure out a plan B now ...

Did you guys get the money back or did you loose it?

Am waiting for a reply from Beci on that. According to their website, if this type of thing happens, they say they will either re-ship or refund. Will keep you posted.

Fisher , what did the order consist of ? how many times have you ordered from china to the address that was used ?? I noticed after about 4 orders from china my shipments were stuck in customs alot longer up to 3 weeks . but still have not had a shipment refused entry just held up , planning on ordering more parts and juice but probably split the orders up and ship to a different place .

Just to follow up - Healthcabin re-shipped (I even added a few more bottles on the order at no additional cost) and it sailed through customs with no problems.

My take is that unless they outright make it illegal, which will discourage foreign vendors from selling or shipping to Canada at all, or unless they start confiscating orders rather than simply returning them to the sender, then the only thing you really need to be worried about is giving your orders plenty of time to get here. It may take a few tries but they will get through.

PS Healthcabin rocks & Dr.Pepper is definitely an acquired taste..

We ordered or equipment from Happy Vapor. Will say 2 things.

1) Jack rocks! He called us and talked to us for 40 minutes on his own bill to answer questions for us. He was courteous and friendly, the man is customer service to the nth degree.

2) No nic from him, which is fine. The flavors are good, and the equipment all works. {Granted we got it this morning} It all arrived when it was supposed to.

The nic juice we got from Vapes mart. Unflavored and ready to mix. I would highly recommend them as well.

Anyways both are Canadian suppliers, so it doesn't go through customs and you have no fear of losing your order.

A bit more background. I have ordered twice from Ruyan Direct and had no problems with either order coming. However Best Ecig had a much bigger variety of cartridge flavors and my friend wanted to order from them so figured ... what the heck. They also have a fine reputation in the forum. THIS order went through under her name and address. I think a couple of things went wrong and especially one. When she got her letter from Health Canada, it only had her name and our small town on the envelope. If that is how it came through to Customs, it might very well have caught their eye because the address was incomplete. Who knows for sure, though. Probably just got unlucky. Am still waiting to her from her with regards to Beci's reply as to what happens next. Her computer broke down right after she sent her last email!

I totally agree with you, Psyko1, about Jack from Happy Vapor. He is top notch. I had the pleasure of speaking with him because I was having no end of problems with the 510 I had ordered from Ruyan Direct. Nothing hardware wise - purely operator difficulties. He saw some of my posts here and PM'd me and we eventually talked on the phone. This is the kind of guy he is - will even try to help someone even if they didn't buy from him!

However, I really, really do not like my 510. Drives me nuts to always having to be dripping or topping off. No doubt it produces great vapor and ease of draw but ... I am not the kind of person who likes to 'fiddle around' with my ecig to that extent. So - if anyone is interested in a real good deal on an almost new 510 kit with a blue PCC, PM me! I'll be happy to work a deal.

My first order from Ruyan Direct was for a penstyle kit and parts. That had been my first ecig and I still can't find anything that suits me better. However, the atomizers leaked like a sieve so sent them back. Wayne was great about it too. No hesitation with crediting my account.

By and large, we have a mostly a supreme quality of people acting as suppliers whether from China, the States or Canada. Just a bloody shame all of us have to go through all the BS that the FDA and HC are putting us through ...

I got HC letter for just plain flavorings from US which were mislabeled nic..supplier's mistake but still no fun..!

I don't think you can get in trouble for trying to ship something in that isn't actually "illegal." E-cigs aren't criminal, you can't get in trouble for being in possession of one. They'll just keep trying to stop us from shipping them in.

So does this mean, if I order to nic juice to a PO box in the states, and go down there and pick it up, will I be able to bring it back over the boarder without issues because I allready have it in my possesion? Or is that still considered importing it and I will get it seized?

Well, I doubt they'll allow it, because you carrying it over the border is no different then someone else trying to ship it. Your best bet is to keep trying to have it shipped to you in Canada, while asking the shipper to remove any reference to "nicotine" "e-liquid" "e-cigarette" or anything like that.
