    Default Ego Charger Issue

Just bought the Ego vision Clearomizer Starter Kit for a recent convert. The batts are 1000 mah and before handing it over I wanted to make sure everything is working. When putting the batt on the charger red light stays on even after 8 hrs- no green light and the batt is not fully discharged. Strangely it worked on the initial charge. Does anyone have any idea of how long it takes to charge the ego 1000 batts? Has anyone encountered this problem? And would it be worthwhile to purchase the rapid charger for another $5.00? Gave the convert a disposable last week and over the 2 days it lasted he was analog free. Kudos to Kevin at Canvape for giving me the disposable. I guess I'm in a rush to get the convert up and running because he had such a positive experience. Kudos to Adam for contacting Kevin at the last minute to get the kit together at the last minute. As for the Clearomizers they're a mice vape and I highly recomend them. Wife LOVES the blue LED especially when we went down to the beach in the dark to watch the fireworks across the bay. Many others watching were very interested. In the dark Blue LED Clearos have got to be the best way to attract attention. 2 smokers were VERY interested so I gave them some Canvape cards. Again kudos to the Canvape team and all in all a very minor bump in the road and I am quite impressed with the kit.
    TIA
If I don't respond quickly up at the cottage and have some work to do....cottageing is not all relaxing having cocktails on the deck :-)

If you are stuck, I have a few extra EGO chargers somewhere in my dank, dark closet.

I am an adult. I am a vaper. I do not need over-regulation or any organization telling me what I should or shouldn't do. I can make my own decisions and I can deal with the consequences. Over-Regulation = higher prices for me based on red tape I didn't ask for.

WOW the giving nature of some Vapers here is just amazing and I/ he thanks you VERY much. The light eventually went green and all is well. Now will completely drain and charge 1 batt to find out charging time. Will post when completed. Again thank you very much for the offer.
LOVE and AGREE with your signature 100%.
Happy Vaping and have a great and safe weekend.

There should be a sticker on the charger with the output current ... quick chargers are around 400ma (.4A) ... what does yours say?

Thank you very much. With the Kgo 1100 usually took about 2-3 hrs but have never owned an ego. Will drain present batt and recharge before deciding if charger is defective. Myself I would just buy another charger but that's not for me to choose. He's a 30 minute drive from the Flea Mkt so if needed he could drive down easily enough. Thanks again everyone. Can hardly wait until Tues. when I give him the kit. Wasn't supposed to be until next weekend.
    Happy Vaping.

    If it's a no-name 1000mah battery, a no-name charger won't always register the battery as "full"

This has happened to me. Have you tried it on a smaller 650?

I've got 3 chargers 2 "named" , 1 "no name". The "no name" is the one where the light will go green after a couple of hours of charging. The 2 "named" take hours and hours before going green. However, after a couple of hours on those I feel the USB connection and it is no longer warm. It just seems to take a long time for the green light to kick in. These are on 650 batteries.

Thank you for all your input. Charged the batt and it took 4 hrs 45 minutes so considering it's a 200 mah charger and the batt is 1000 mah it seems about right. The charger is 400 mah Again thank you everyone for your input.
