LOL a week!! And with this heat we've been having the juice probably thinned significantly which would cause leaking too. Damn homie!

I should point out, it didn't leak all over where it was sitting/laying down. Just when I went to take a few hits I got some juice in my mouth. I tried cleaning it but it seems to just keep on doing it.

The better half stopped using it because of the dry hits she was getting so it just sat around... ahh well learn and live

I've had mine over-wick a couple times. easiest fix is to up your voltage (if you can) and take a couple slow drags so you're not pulling a ton of air over the coil, this usually burns off the excess pretty quickly and you're back to vaping like normal. Under-wicking is fixed by either taking a hard pull without activating the coil, or if it's persistant with that specific carto, you can loosen the centre tube just a hair to allow more fluid to get to the coil.. using tweezers to pull out a few strands (not a lot) of the wick will also allow more liquid in if you're getting persistant dry hits.

The probem seem to be either the wick is too tight in the side holes (Dry hits), or too loose (slightly flooding the atty).

Sleeve? Oh, are you using the 3ml? I'm talking about the smaller ones.

I guess the concept is the same

I have 5 of these on the go, all have been cleaned and reused many times, and the only time I got a leak was when I wasn't paying attention and filled it right side up. I vape these puppies right down to dry wicks.
I ran into the problem with the seal not sitting snuggly on the air tube, the juice goes in and right back out! So that was good to point out for others.

My first one lasted over a week with intense refills of vg & cleaning, but I popped it on a dry burn
The second one is still going strong. Once you get the hang of refilling, the 1.2?ml (smaller ones) are impressive.
I think I'll include a 3ml next time. Are there any magic tricks for the larger firebird?

I am on my second refill and cannot get any flavour at all. It is not a dry hit and there is lots of vapour. It is very strange. The juice is Juggy original kandy apple (I bought the rest of his stock) it is a very flavour full juice so cannot figure this out.

So I noticed something on one I just cleaned for the umpteenth time and I'm getting a tiny bit of juice leaking (nothing worth worrying about really) around the 510 connector post. There is a small rubber/silicone seal around the center post and the outside tube with the threads on it, and what looks to be a soldered little nub in there (or perhaps just a manufacturing defect), and the juice is seeping around that.

I don't have a macro lens for my camera, or else I'd take a picture.

Sorry to threadsurrect, but I've got a question about the 3ml Firebird and leaking.

Is an 18 gauge sharp needle too big to be using to fill this thing? I noticed that one cause of leaking can be that the fill hole isn't sealing up properly, and that's really the only explanation I can think of for why this thing is suddenly bubbling like the mud pots in Yosemite National Park.

I think the reason they use a blunt needle is because of the little "flap" created when you stuff the needle through that partially completed hole. The flap seals back up the tiny hole, thus making the vacuum. I'm thinking (not being a needleologist) using a sharp needle would just create a hole, sans flap, and so no vacuum.
