Well I clicked on Farmer Bric's lick to Ontario Today on CBC only to discover that the Toronto Board of Health was having a meeting to vote and decide the issue to send it to council as is that was at 12h15 the "hearing" was at 13h00.

Got there in time made a quick comment to the media as I was looking for the committee room which I later apologized for; nonetheless the statement I commented on was a lie...... it might make the blooper reel. It was a GWB moment....I thought out loud.

The members of the vaping industry that were there did a fabulous job as did Rachael Coffee in the face of a foregone conclusion. I was not prepared but spoke from the heart as did everyone who represented our interests.

We can affect the outcome but need to be there and in force.

I heard on AM640 today that Council has voted to ban vaping in all places of business. What does this mean for Vape shops and lounges? This is the same thing that happened when the smoking ban came in, even shops that sold only cigars or cigarettes were no smoking by law. So does this mean we won't be able to vape in vape shops anymore? This also kinda kills VapeCan. Maybe do it outside of GTA boarders next time.

One more reason I am glad I moved away from Tdot.

Well, either not enough vapers showed up to voice their concerns, or council decided to ignore them, and do what their corporate bosses/behaviour modifier experts told them to anyway.

Typical. Media misreporting scare tactics. (or Griff.J misheard the report.)

Ah I just heard it again. The vote passed to ban e-cigarette use on "city owned property". Sure hope the bylaw officers don't tackle me for vaping while I'm walking along city owned sidewalks.... :P
