Thanks bg, and you are right on both your other points ! The problem with most cartomizers that were buring was due to them not being filled properly at the factory (there was a long rash of them with the 51), the ones I will send were fresh stock, in blister packs, and as with all my e-cigs toys & supplies, they are stored in an ammo trunk in the cold storage. -Greg |

I'm in the same boat. In western canada and my wife LOVES the idea of a 2 piece ecig. I've ordered her the KR808 from eastmall. This should suite her fine though as she was a very light smoker to start with. About 10-15 ultra light analogs a day so we're guessing that 1, maybe 2 carts would last her all day. From what i've read, I might be able to get away with using 1 cartomizer per week with refilling before it goes bunk. Keeping that thought going, 10 cartomizers should last her a while. But then again, this is all just speculation until the unit actually arrives and she gets to try it. I'd also hope that some canadian supplier would broaden their stock with other models, but to be honest, what we have in canada are considered the best and most reliable models out there to date which is all we really need. Sometimes I think we've gotten away from our initial hope of ecigs. And that was to help me quite analogs and find a healthier alternative. This is what both my wife and I have done with my 510 and her 401. Going on month 4 right now analog free but I really don't want this to turn into a hobby as smoking never was. I think if you find a device that works, stick with it as it did its job. Although if someone wants to send me a Protege, i'd accept it :P

| Bornagainst: Vapor4life and Nhaler are the 2 I have been looking at and still deciding wether or not to order. Thanks for the info that they are both good to work with. Props76: Quote:
First, I'm always reading about how pre-filled carts don't last long enough and run out so fast. The pre-filled I had for my 901 would last almost the entire day. Refilling however I need to top it off every time I want to vape. To understand this better I should explain I do not constantly vape, instead of having a full analog every 45-60 min I would take 3 to 5 puffs off the 901 every 20 to 30 min. With the prefilled this was working for me. The only time I was still having an analog is when I first woke up in the morning and after meals. Second, I frequently read people saying how awful the pre-filled taste. I know taste is subjective and is different for everyone but the pre-filled I got were much more flavorful than the juices I got. The actual taste of the juices I have tried are ok, they just seem to be a very weak taste. The prefilled I had on the otherhand had very strong flavor to them. The chocolate and the strawberry especialy were very good. I have not tried DIY yet but have some flavorless and some flavoring and will be trying some in the next couple of days. I'm hoping the flavor issue will be fixed by just adding more flavoring. In terms of throat hit I found the pre-filled to be fine, with the juices I've tried....both VG and PG I find the throat hit to be overwhelming. I take 1 or 2 puffs and cough like crazy. Smokunchevy:Jack from Happy Vapor has been in touch with me via e-mail based on this forum thread. As I said in an earlier post I am EXTREMELY happy with his customer service and he is very willing to help and discuss the issue. I have no problem whatsoever with the 510 I bought from him. It works pretty much the same for me as the 901 I had previously but now I've got the added bonus of a PCC which is why I wanted to try a 510. The similarity of problem for me between the 901 and the 510 is what has convinced me that refilling is my problem which is why I'm looking for a 2 piece or failing that someplace to order prefilled carts. I will be e-mailing him back most likely early next week as I'm sure he would like to enjoy his weekend As for you sending me a 2 piece I am excessively grateful and will be sending you a PM after I finish the incredibly long post heh. I've never heard of the LTv9 model but I'm sure it will work perfectly fine to show me if a 2 piece is the way to go. When I first looked into PVs about a year ago a 2 piece is what I was going to order but I let myself be swayed by various posts on a different forum page and ordered the 901 instead. That was before I found this excellent forum. Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions, they are greatly appreciated. I REALLY want this to work out for me to get off analogs. For the 3 weeks or so before I ran out of pre-filled I was very happy with vaping although wanted a bit stronger than the 18mg which was the highest carts the supplier sold. As said above I was almost completely off analogs and given more time with more pre-filled I'm sure I would have gotten there soon. As with many other vapers, I was feeling much healthier. My breathing was easier, I wasn't coughing up so much junk and I had a lot more energy probably due to more oxygen and less crap in my lungs. All those benefits unfortunately have now disappeared since I can't seem to get juice to work properly for me, most likely due to me not filling them the right way or something like that. For those of you who have read this entire epic length post.......you must be as crazy as I am for typing it all.

I don't mean to be beating a dead horse here. I really get where you are coming from. You want something that is simple and easy, and gets the job done. I understand. I wish you the best of luck with the cart-o-mizer. On the off chance that it doesn't work for you, I hope you don't give up. The cart issue you describe above are covered in the mods section. The reason why you can't refill the cart the same as new, is fixed with the straw mod. It allows liquid to get to the bottom of the cart so they last longer. Yes yes I know you don't want to be bothered with cutting a straw, playing with filling ect ect you want plug and play. I just say this so you know there is a way no matter what, cart-o-mizers or whatever, this is what will get you off the cigs. Good luck, and happy vaping.

Also, if you are interested, I have an extra battery and a spare USB charger for the Kr808 model if you want. Along with a couple of V4L cartomizers. See how you like it, anyhow. As long as you want to stay off analogs, thats whats most important. |

I have no intention of giving up, I'm just trying to find a way to make it work for me because I KNOW the PV is what will finally get me off analogs. If all else fails then I'll find a supplier of the prefilled carts I got with my original 901 and take my chances with customs coming in from China. The original point of this thread was just to find out if someone in Canada who I hadn't yet heard of sells the 2 piece rather than me ordering from out of country. Everyone here has been very helpful and unfortunately the thread seemed to turn more into me ranting and letting off my frustration of trying to figure out how to get vaping to work for me.

Its strange what is happening to you, it seems to be the opposite of what almost everyone experiences. Most people are disappointed with the carts, you like them. Most people do the mods to get better performance, you get worse.. I'm starting to wonder about your equipment... I assume you are out of carts, and you maybe tried all these mods after your pre-filled carts were gone? If so, maybe your atty or batt has gone south right about the time you ran out of pre-filled? Might be worth testing everything with a multimeter. If you don't have one, just buy a cheap one, about 15 bucks from any hardware store. Hold the positive lead in the center of the batt, and the negative lead on the thread and press the button. The batts should be 3.2-3.7 volts. For the atty, holding one lead on the center and the other on the threads, your 901 should be 3.0-3.5 ish ohms, and your 510 should be 2.5-2.9. Give or take a few tenths on either doesn't matter, but if its way out you have an equipment issue.

I always was the black sheep in any group ![]() The atomisers and batteries are fine. I had some extras of the 901 batts and attys I ordered and the same problem with them for juice. I also just ordered a few weeks ago a 510 and have the same problem. This is NOT a harware issue, this is a prefill vs refill issue. I don't know if it's the flavor concentration or the nic concentration or if I'm just absolutely crappy at filling a cart in every way I try, but it is definately not a batty or atty issue. In terms of being out of prefilled carts, I have been out of them for about 4 or 5 months and have been trying to get juice working for me since then. I will be trying some DIY tomorrow where I can control the flavor concentration and see if that will help. Over the next week or so I'll be trying different strengths and different PG/VG mixes to see if I can get anything to work. I've got PG flavorless at I think 26mg strength (not in front of me at the moment so trying to remember) as well as no nic PG and VG to cut it with and 6 different Lorann/Capella flavors to play with. |

| These guys were one of the earliest Canadian suppliers of the 808D-1 I came across (that was back in April/May). Not sure what they have or don't offer now.

They seem to have the ECV92110 Electronic Cigarette with Disposable Atomizer Cartridge 110mm. Looks identical to the KR808, not sure if it is the same model though. EDIT: According to this post, it is the same model. And pretty damn good prices on packs of cartomizers I must say. Bout $9 for a pack of 5 isn't bad at all. Almost the same as the ones from china
