    Hello fellow vapers,
I have never used a cartomizer style e-cigs yet but, In response to smoking the burning poly-fill (which is 100% polyester fiber) of which some commented on: I bought a bag of poly-fill to refill my carts and I found a warning on the bag, I won't quote the whole thing it's too long but, it says, "Hazardous gases released by the burning fiber can be incapacitating or fatal to human beings if inhaled in sufficient quantities." This is why it is so IMPORTANT to keep your poly/batting saturated with e-juice! Cartomizers can be topped off as well so please take proper precautions. But please don't let this scare anyone back to analogs.

It's been shown time and time again that the GreenCig carts are damn near impossible to burn. As for quality control the GreenCig is perhaps the most stringent of all the makers on their processes. It's all done inside a cleanroom which I spent many an hour in during my career in the semiconductor industry. Those cleanrooms are so free of debris that you could literally eat off the floor without worry. I can't say for sure what the conditions are like at other factories but the GreenCig one is tops. They are also the inventors of the cartomizer technology and hold the patent on it among others. You really do get what you pay for.

To get back on point, I know of others who have literally vaped their GC cart dry as a bone and still could not get it to burn and I have not been able to either. The KR808D-1 burns as we all know I can't say squat about the other cartomizers since I have only used the KR808D-1 and the GreenCig cartomizers.

    Retired: Dragon
    , 510, Magnum Mod, KR808D-1.
    In Use: GreenCig, JuiceBox.

I just found this thread, made me quite nervous as my lungs are already severly damaged. I put a new cartomizer on the kr808d1 and took 12 3sec. drags. I then tore the cart apart, the inner layer where a small plastic like thing was burnt along with whatever was wrapped by it. (not through the outer layers) What can be done so this doesn't happen? It now scares me. I think I'll add fluid every 10 puffs until my carts are gone, then decide what to do.

I opened up some of my brand new carts, and they weren't fully filled. I've been topping them off from the beginning and it seems to help with the burning issue considerably. Still conducting my own personal tests to gauge how long/often I can hit them without having them burn, but it seems a major reason is that they're simply not full of liquid from the get go.

Refilling them obviously ruins the convenience aspect of the cartomizers, but I still appreciate their non-leakage. I couldn't continue carrying my 510 around because I was wiping off the damn thing all the time.

near impossible , but not impossible... i need to dissect it still but i believe i burned the hell out of my GC cartomizer last night when it was on a 5v mod.

also , the GC cartomizers do not come with any sort of protection (condom) to keep them from drying out. my 2nd GC cartomizer was a dried up dud.

I'd imagine you can burn any atty/cart with 5v. Especially if you power hit 'em or let 'em get dry.

I too am amazed the greencig carts aren't protected from drying out once you open the box. Especially since they seem to have worked so hard on their design and QC.

I saved a ton of kr808 condoms - you can squeeze those onto the ends or use a very small ziplocks to store them in. Less than ideal but better than nothing.

well , my KR's have actually been performing very well at 5v. IF i top them up a little more often that is. Yeah i also have a mountain of KR condoms i slapped one on all my GC Cartomizers , except for 1 , i want to see after a few weeks if it will dry up or not.
