It is their responsibility to do the tests and assure us of exactly what it is we're inhaling here.

I haven't completely gone off cartos yet, but I'm a bit wary and watching to see where this goes. I've gone off advising new vapers to use them though.
Thanks, sheep, I appreciate that. I think the EVERYONE who sells these carts have a responsibility to do the tests. They are promoting a product that has a burning issue. Period. I asked the largest supplier because he has the most resources and even a guy in China. Thread got closed. Then DELETED!!

No offense Katmar, but the thread got CLOSED because of the forum members inability to hold a mature conversation without getting into catfights.

It did NOT get closed because of an inability to deal with some serious questions.... questions that may require a bit of time to look into.

There is "helping" and there is "hindrance". The issues I am sure will be addressed.
I am an adult. I am a vaper. I do not need over-regulation or any organization telling me what I should or shouldn't do. I can make my own decisions and I can deal with the consequences. Over-Regulation = higher prices for me based on red tape I didn't ask for.

Thanks, born, but it would be nice to have a statement from the suppliers telling us the issue is being addressed and keeping us updated. It is not just a matter of keeping the carts wet.

There seems to be an inherent flaw to how the carts are made, i.e. filler material too close to atty.

I have seen threads get a heck of a lot more catty than the ones that were just closed.

It felt like a shutup and shutdown sort of thing.

So I'm really curious here..... if you chose to steer people away from the KR808D-1 style cartomizers out of a concern about safety and "what is being inhaled", what would you steer them towards?

Can you say with any kind of authority that any other PV system is "safer" than the KR808D-1 style cartomizer?

I understand what you mean Katmar.

When threads like that are posted in pretty much ANY supplier subforum, things like that are bound to happen, which is why I really tried to steer these into the model specific subforums...where people can discuss openly without fear of reprisal. It will also give other vendors who sell this product a chance to see what the issues are.

It's also the hassle of trying to deal with concerns solely within the confines of a text based medium. People read what they want to read into certain things....things get heated, and well, we've all seen the results.

Myself, personally, I haven't had an issue yet, however I totally understand people's need for satisfaction with money well spent. Now that we're all vaping, not smoking, health concerns are finally taking a front seat. Makes a lot of sense to me.

Hope we can all achieve a peaceful resolution. The role of the subforums is to discuss, share experience and hopefully help each other stay analog free. Utopian vision perhaps, but one I will fight for.

Lorikay, maybe you could send your "burnt taste" greencig carto to one of the other members who is good at dissection of those things to reveal a good report back to us on what might have happened.

Would a drip-only style be safer?
