CE2 Fluxos Leaking from Battery End

hi all,

I have previous experience with the CE2 Fluxos as I bought my first ones for my KR808. They work perfectly (I do know about removing the inner cup seal, using the O ring instead) and have not had any problems with those ones whatsoever.

I have since moved on to a Kgo, so I ordered up some 510 Fluxomizer Deluxes. I have tried two now, did the same exact modding as I did to my 808 version. I left each to wick for awhile before going to town on them and when I came back 1/2 the juice was on the table. I blew out the juice from the center channel. I did not get any juice down the center while filling, I make sure I do not. They were both set vertically.

I'm not sure what is going on I have searched a ton before posting this, can't really find a solid answer. Even after blowing out the fluxo it still begins to leak out the battery end. Not from the tube itself. I even see it seeping out the small holes on either side of the battery connection. I filled them to about 1/4" below the ceramic cup. Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong here?

I've always had issues with the fluxomizers or clearomizers when I used them. It sounds like the center post is leaking where it is pressed into the metal battery end.

Super glue was always my go to sealant when I was fixing up clearomizers. Try removing the plastic tube, and running a bead around the center post. Be careful removing the tube, they crack easily. Press back together after it is dry to the touch, and you should be good to go.

Super glue dries into a plastic, and doesn't interact with PG or VG so you shouldn't have to worry.

On a side note, the metal CE2 cartomizers are rock solid. I have yet to have one leak on me and I carry my PV in my shirt pocket or pants pocket all day.

Where did you get them? Is the Tube Clear or Kinda Frosty?

Everything but the Latest CE2's were prone to Leaking and Tube Cracking. The Lastest ones have been working Great.

When I was new to all this, the CE2 was only on revision 2. I did as a previous poster recommended with the Clearos. Unless you've picked up some older ones (from production runs several months ago), you shouldn't need to do much to them anymore.

1. Jerked off the clear sleeve and replaced it with a self cut BD brand 3ml syringe. I torched the wicks good (because of reports that some of them had a funny anti-bacteria taste...what ever was used to sterilize them at packing time seems to be commonly used and less noticed in Asia since the people there are so used to it being in everything they have). In the USA shipments, I understand they don't use that chemical anymore, but if you get some older stock and it tastes really bad, that's probably the problem. Pull it apart and wash or torch the wicks good. It wasn't long before I skipped the clear ones and moved to the stainless ones, as I got a little tired of cutting syringes.

2. Pulled out all the seals, lifted the wicks, and put a tiny bit of poly-fill or tea bag material in the upper gaps of the ceramic bowl (just above the wicks) and only used the smaller O ring seal. Plugging the gaps with filler was only necissary if I was using a really thin liquid and needed a totally leak proof carto (upside-down in pockets/purses/etc). Yes, I could have just cut down the included silicon seal a little, but for me it was easier just to put a little poly-fill in the gaps than to mess with getting that thing back in place and aligned properly.

3. If the bottom seal was damaged due to the stress of pushing/pulling on things to get it all apart, I'd run a bead of super glue around the very bottom of that long post from the inside to seal it off.

These days many things about a CE2 has changed for the better. They now use a different plastic which doesn't crack, and can handle quite a bit of stress (temperature changes and re-assembly) before they start to be loose at the bottom. When one doesn't work well, I usually just toss it in the 'emergency stash' and grab a new one. Most of the time the newer ones work right out of the box for me...fill and use. Note that sometimes a brand new one takes a fill before it breaks in and really starts working at peak...but then usually lasts for months of daily use (and I don't even bother trying to clean them anymore).

Given how long these things usually last...I don't sweat it too much if there is one in the box that doesn't work perfectly. If you like the draw and the way these things vape...they are possibly the longest lasting carto on the market. Toss it if one doesn't work just right and grab a new one.

True, but it only has to be done once, then you're set for many weeks of simply filling the things every day or so and using them. It takes more time to make a pot a coffee than it does to fill a fist full of the things.

With an infinite variety of liquid viscosities out there...there is always a chance that you'll want to make adjustments to any wick based vaping solution.

Every production run has enjoyed tweaks to make them easier to set-up.
You set it up the first time and run with it.

The bottom line is if you like them...nothing else vapes the same, lasts as long, or has the same kind of draw. If you don't like they way they vape enough to bother with a first time set-up, oh well, that's why there are well over 50 carto/atty types out there to choose from these days

these are the new deluxe frosty tube ones from gotvapes. Like I said I didn't have any problems at all with my KR808 version, quick 2mins mod and they worked perfect.

this could be it possibly, I haven't taken the tube off yet, but on 2 different ones? Maybe, I'll take a look at it (since all the juice leaked out )

It wasn't that much work really, pop out the seals, fill, put in O ring, fluff and vape and you don't have to do these things but it makes em wick better. I love these for juices that are light on flavor, really brings them out.

I use 2.0 LR Boge's for most of my juices :P
