Juice turning black, Boge+Tank+Provari

I have been having a lot of trouble with my cartos recently. I bought a bunch of Boge 3.0 ohm cartos over a month ago. First two went in my tank and lasted well over 10 days each. Ever since then, they have lasted at most a day and a half. The juice in the tank starts turning dark brown and the filler inside just gets black and the draw gets tight and I start getting juice in my mouth. This is getting very frustrating. I have tried different flavors, one hole vs 2 holes punched in the cartos, pure PG vs pg and Vg mix, varied the voltage of my provari from 4.4-5 ohm. All the same result. I have gone through 12 cartos in the past twelve days, is it just a bad batch or is my Provari possibly messing up? This is becoming very annoying, boges are supposed to last longer than one day. Anyone else experience this?

I'm running the mom & pop mini sub with boge 3.0 at 4.5v and had the same dark color. I measured it and still had 3 ohms so I just cleaned it out. Now I'm trying lower voltages. Seems boge like to run hot. At 4v I still hear a little bit of crackling noise but not as bad as at 4.5v. If you have an ohm meter and can measure 3.0 ohms they should still be good, may just need a cleaning.

I run my boge standard resjstance at 5-6 volts. I use mostly halo and pink spot juices and NONE have turned different colors nor has the inside of the carto changed (except with the midnight apple from halo juice, that stuff kills cartos quick) ive easly put 20+ml through each of the cartos. I didnt bother cleaning them and puffed 15ml of tribeca and just started putting the rest of my midnight apple in and no issues. Same with the pink spot carto, 10ml of blu-spt and now im finishing the last of the pirates booty thru the same carto. Im on a provari and run high voltage with zero issues.

What are you punching the cartos with? Maybe its not feeding fast enough? Or maybe too fast?

I think I might be on to the problem. I used a friend's juice with a carto from one of the box where others had messed up. So far four days no problems. I am beginning to think it is my juice, either the nic juice (36mg PG from good prophets) or my PG base from vapor renu. The GP nic juice is 5 months old, and the VR PG base is about a year old. Both juices were not giving me trouble before, gonna try and rule in/out that problem next.

Could the nic be eating away at the plastic bottle, resulting in plastic being in the juice?

I have since tried some prepunched flanged boges from puresmoker, and 2 dual coils from smoktech, had it happen to them as well.

Sounds to me like youre burning the cartos. Probably not filling them right and/or not allowing them time to wick.

This issue has been floating around a bit (like the black grit in the juice!)

It's doing it with new juices too. I initially thought it was certain flavours, but it seems to be a wide range of flavours.

There's also a thread here on new batches of cartos (Boge and Smoktech) having an unusual taste.

Rather than re editing- would just add: we gutted a cart that was producing the black grit- the wire was black and gunky (after 2 fills!?) but the paper rolls around the wire and filler were white and as good as new.
