    Default "Boge" cartomizers?

Can anyone tell me what a Boge cartomizer is? I didn't realize there were special kinds (besides the OHM ratings lol), is Boge the maker or what?

Also so I don't have to make another thread I was hoping someone else could answer this for me...
When you are using a tank system (not the old style but the new round tanks for vv mods), does the cartomizer you buy to use with your tank have to be bought from the same place you buy your tank at? The reason why I ask is because I have noticed that the threaded end of some cartomizers have a different shape than others and are made to fit specific tanks with the matching cut out cap to them. For instance Volcano's "tubetank" has a cutout insert in the cap and the threaded end of their cartomizers have that same cutout, it fits right into the recess cutout of the tubetank's cap.

So some designs I see are like a 3/4 circle shape at the threaded end, some are a complete circle, etc...

If I buy a tank say from nhaler, must I buy my cartomizers from them too? If not and I buy them from some place else, will they not fit properly?

Hi...I don't know much but I do know that Boge is the mfg. There's also Smoketech, Kanger, Joyetech & a ton of others. No, you don't have to buy the cartos from the same place as the tank....you just want to make sure all the treading is going to work for you. I just bought my first tank from M&P, a sub, & I love this thing. I did buy the cartos that go in it from them cuz they're the only ones I could find that were punched & I really like them. Don't know if this helped - hope it did.

OK well if the bottom cutout of the carto doesn't match the cap for the tank, the juic will leak cause it won't be sealed. Or am I missing something here?

Sounds about right to me....I've never dealt w/that, as I said I really like to keep things as simple as possible. I'm in total awe as to how many people use dremels, drills & G*D knows what else - it's just not for me. The setup w/the Sub is just really easy - just removing a grommet (tech term I just learned) & pulling the old carto out & sticking the new one in. You have no idea how intimadated I was w/this little sucker but I took the plunge & to my shock I did it. With your slit issue - I've read a lot of folks here talking about getting washers at Home Depot - sorry, that's just not for me...to complicated. I guess I'm not helping...Sorry.

Yea lol @ Mois, I can totally relate! I've decided to find what tank I want first, get that, then worry about the replacement cartos afterwards. I think it will make things easier.

See what the recommended carto is from whoever you get the tank from & see how much juice you want it to hold. You want to make sure the carto is long enough & holds enough for your needs. Then you've got the punched deal to live with. That's what I've just gone thru....some people like them prepunched (like me) others do their own. Funny thing, I found a carto w/o punch that I love just sticking on my ego - to me, this thing has got the greatest taste & holds quite a bit.

That's a good idea Mois, just ask the tank guy I buy from. See how easy that was after hours of posting lol. Yea I want my cartos pre-punched, I'm not trying to do all that nor have any desire to.

BTW, pre-punched is fine as long as it's not used in a tank (obviously.)

Funny story - I've always used the ego-t or c..never used or saw a carto....I received an order one day & the vendor enclosed a gift - didn't know what the heck it was - then the lite came on & I realized it was a carto - now, what do you do...sooooo, I filled it .....never realizing what the little holes around the bottom were for - didn't take to long to figure that one out - problem - it goes in a tank - don't own one - sooo just stuck it on the ego & fell in love. Well, you know the next step - gotta buy a tank....that's how I wound up w/the sub.

Nearly all tanks will be for 510 cartos. There are few differences though mainly with Dual Coil Tanks:
    1) Dual Coil Tanks (DCT) are longer.
    2) Some DCT are flanged ( little metal piece at the bottom )
    3) The tube of the tank can be made of many different materials, some crack with certain juices, some don't.

I use a chibi tank from Carto Tank Mods

    and I use a J-Tank from J-TANKS

As long as you do not have a flanged DCT then any 510 carto will work fine.

Next question will be about the holes in the cartos. You can buy them pre-punched or punch them yourself. I use a "saddle valve" from Home Depot to punch mine.
