    Default Refilling cartomizer--help?

    Could somebody help me, please?

My sister just followed the video on how to refill a kr808D-1 cartomizer. She says she added about 5 drops of liquid just inside the edge while holding the thing at a 45 degree angle, as shown on the YouTube video. When she tried to smoke it she got a mouthful of liquid and nothing.

I haven't gotten my juice yet. Has this ever happened to you? Any idea what she may be doing wrong?

Okay. I finally got my new juice. The same thing is happening to me. No vapor, no throat hit, just a mouth full of juice.

Can someone please tell me what we are doing wrong?

I would imagine tha cart is flooded to get a mouth full of liquid. The filler should look moist but not wet if that makes sense, and the hole down the middle should be clear. Blow gently through the threaded end of the cartomizer. If it gurgles it is flooded. It should have a clear air path.

Thats my idea of your problem. I could be wrong as usual

That has been my exact experience also. When you refill the cartomizer, just put in enough drops to get the material good and damp, not soaking wet. Then with a tissue on a table or in your hand, turn the carto so it's pointing down at the tissue and lightly blow into the brass end that attaches to the battery. This will make sure that the center "tube" is clear of any fluid. Then take just a little bit of tissue or a Q-Tip and lightly clean any excess fluid out of the mouth end.

Then: Place the semi-clear stopper with the hole in the middle inside the mouth end. It has a flat-side which must face up (towards the mouth end), but I ony put it just inside the cartomizer and when I put the white cap on, I let the white cap push the semi-white stopper down at the same time. This makes sure that I don't over-insert the semi-transparent stopper too far inside at all.

Also, as with any atomizer, make sure you wait at least a minute between vapes. This will allow the atomizer to cool a bit, and will also allow the e-liquid time to "wick" back onto the atty for the next vape.

    Hope this helps.

I quit instantly with my first vape on 4 November 2009. Thank You ECF!

you could have hit the nail on the head, But another small possible is that you still have some residual liquid left on the inner walls and that is how you are getting liquid in the mouth. try waiting a bit before vaping a new refill by setting it battery side down on a paper towel and vaping another cart.

everyone has their methods even the trick of the day spinning the cartimizer over your head utilizing cirtrifical force to get that liquid down in there.... it may work( i just can't get myself to do it with out laughing)

    anyway good luck

just don't get discouraged you'll get the hang of it and find your way

    Default Thank you!

Thank you all so much. I think the liquid was just thicker than normal. When I tried Taryn's whirling trick, it worked like a charm.

    I appreciate your help.

Awww, come on duckie! Jump on the spinning bandwagon! We are working out a theme song and a little dance to accompany it!

It's really not as goofy as it sounds, people are just having fun with it. And I don't twirl it over my head or in any real grand fashion. Just a spin to get the centrifugal force to help put that juice where it belongs. Its actually quite dignified and scientific!!

While I get it's not always possible for maximum results when refilling let it sit for a few hours prior to using after refilling them to give the liquid plenty of time to seep into the material. It will extend the vaping time produced by the cart quite a bit. It always pays to gently blow through the end as stated by the others as well, although sometimes a shot of nicotine juice in the mouth can keep me away from the vaporizer for hours so I don't consider it to be too bad a thing, lol! Happy vaping and good choice in going with a 2pc model, they are much better in my opinion than the 3pc models, a lot more convenient, and a lot less hassles and mess, no modding required for great performance out of the box.
