i tried this spring mod in my 510 but no luck because the spring doesnt fit in the cart because the sides are flat-like maybe if i find a smaller spring out of five pens that was the smallest so am not sure if this will work with 510 any ideas

ok, now I'm using a ink cartrage filler needle to reload so I dont have to remove the spring to get juice under the filler material...still good and it holds a lot of juice, it crossed my mind to add the filler vent tube to the mix but I fear the juice will pour down/out the vent tube and flood the atty...

I think the big story here is the spring heats up and keeps everything flowing towards the atty..a preheater effect which helps the juice "run"

I guess the trade off is a 25% reduction in juice capacity?
1.1ml ,20 drops or more depending on the juice and dropper VS 15 drops in a pen style (801 / 112).

I'll stick to a home stuffed cart with a straw mod or a stock blank and keep the maximum load of 1.1 ml.

If the spring is stainless steel it's probably not doing much since stainless is a poor heat conductor. That's why straight stainless cookware is terrible unless it's copper or aluminum clad so heat conducts evenly.

actually the first filler piece had some drops already in it...it prolly does hold 20 drops dry...
my spring is hot,not warm, especially near the atty...I'm seeing great flow and long lasting on juice = more hits per reload....I still think it's a great mod.....plus my filler doesn't slide down onto the atty, I've had my vent tube slide down when I'm very active, no vent tube now. i've had a filler stick to the atty and stay there when I pulled the cart out...this seems to prevent that..

I good way to squeeze out the juice left over in a filler is to put the filler material into a syringe and squeeze the juice out...works great! Squeeze the juice back into a bottle so you can reuse it...

I'm using black 901 carts in my 510, some work some don't due to size. Saves on buying both types and the spring works in them.
