Default Hybrid MOD - Best of both worlds

I am just trying out a mod of a cart mod.
I found that the lipton tea bag mod leaks more liquid into my mouth than with the 510, but I like the fact that there are no strands to go a stray.

So I decided to do a hybrid. Fluval filler with a strip of teabag holding it in and sitting between the atty and the fluval. There is also no need for the straw mod as the tea bag capping the fluval creates natural channels to the bottom. It fills easily, it doesn't leak fluid and most importantly, the strands of filler are held back and cannot stick to the atty. Anyone else try this?

It will mean my pack of 20 teabags will go a long way too!! Probably be able to cap 10 carts per bag.

I can confirm that the PTB Fluval Filter mod works a treat.
    Simple to do.

    Instructions:
    1. Remove empty cart filler or cut to size fluval.
    2. Trim a couple of mm of the atty end of the filler
    3. Cut a strip of Tea Bag and fold it over the atty end of the filler.
    4. Squeeze it to a size that will allow it to slide back into the cart.
    5. Clamp it using tweezers and feed into the cap.
    6. Let it expand into the volume giving a little assistance with the tweezers.
    7. Fill it up with some of your favorite juice.
    8. Align the cartridge to the atomizer.
    9. And enjoy long lasting, burn free vaping that fast to refill!!

It works with either. All you are basically doing is using the teabag as a shield between the nasty strandy filler and the atomizer. Effectively keeping the stands in order. The atomizer sits comfortably against the teabag shield and the transferring of fluid though it works a treat.

Due to the nature of the teabags material. When you fold it over the filling and clamp with the tweezers the material creases creating breathing channels to the bottom of the cart. It fills up super fast and delivers lots of puffs between fills.

Next time I do some more, I'll take some pics.

If you are using the actual cart filling I would trim a little off the end as the teabag will need to be flush.

I tried this mod right after I read it and I am AMAZED!!
Best of both worlds for sure.
I liked the tea bag mod alone for the wicking but never liked the roll/fill qualities.
Straw mod helped the standard polly fill woes but still would get a juice jam now and then.

With your mod, wow, really is the best of both for fill and wicking.

    Thanks!

Good to hear it. Yep mine is still going strong. Nice fast top ups, good flavor, vape and lasts a decent amount of puffs. I am going to make a bunch of them later. 8)

Wondering if the little 'tea bag' chew packets would work.
Just cut off one end, dump (shudder in my old days) the chew out and fill it in with a plug of polly fill.
Should slide right in the cart.

I have no experience with chew, so I am not sure, but it sounds like an interesting way to go. It the chew bags the same material as the Liptons?

It is definitely similar from the look/feel perspective and the idea is to let the chew juice flow into your mouth without the leaf stuff getting into the mix as well.

Might not be as 'clean' as the tea bag as chew is pretty moist to start with and some of that will likely be on the bag. I may have to give it a try though.

    Question:
how exactly do you wrap your polly fill into the tea bad 'cap'?? I'm finding it a bit of a challenge to cut a narrow strip, fold it over and stuff the sucker back in without overly messing up the tea bag. I find the tighter the tea bag on the polly; the better the performance
