Default Pics of use of this method in small carts

In another thread, rhoneil asked if I had pics of using his method with the SmokeStik small cart cup. So here they are. As I was taking the pics, I realized that the actual size of the filler isn't that much different -- it's just a little more difficult to insert the filler in the SS cup.

In pic 1, the SS cup is at the bottom with the SS cartridge above it and a 510 cartridge above that, for size comparison purposes.

In pic 2, the rolled filler for the SS is at the bottom; the 510, on top. (Sorry about the bluriness.)

In pic 3, the unrolled and unfolded filler for the SS is at the bottom; the 510, on top.

Rho, I'll post a link to here in the other thread.

one problem ive had with the rdkjdfhoadfih PTB mod (whatever) is its hard to get juice in with the filler in side, i rolled mine tight to create some air channels on the side and it seem to fill better, next time I will have to add some juice before the filler, but no leaks yet, that was the only downside to the shredded IMO

Thank you for this! I was using the shred mod and putting a small poly plug on top to stop the flooding. Not anymore!

k someone help me out, tried topping of after it tated dry and could only get four drops in, i pulled out the filler and it was pretty dry, but I could only get ab 2 more drops in, this is my first attempt at this mod, and is not even close to the best, but is there something that might help? I hate having to top off less then 10 drops

I re-filled one of my carts that had this mod last night. what i did was take the filling out, dropped about 15 drops and slowly put the filler back in. worked perfectly. Because the juice stays on top you can top a couple of drops and it will stay on top. but if you want to fill the cart you either have to remove the filler and add juice, which is easy by the way since the PTB material pretty much keeps its form, or pull the filler out half way and add juice. either way, if there is only liquid on the top folds you will be able to fit at least 13 drops.

hope this helps

Thanks and I like the suggestion. That would definitely describe it for me. There are times when I get too anxious about emptying the cart and vape more than normal but for the most part if not all day it lasts for quite some time. I still have a bunch of pre-filled carts and it really does not take long for the top to get dry and i would have to pull the filling out and turn it around. not fun with the stock material. plus, I end up inadvertantly squeezing out some juice onto my fingers. I have since taken a couple of cartons and used a syringe to get out as much juice as i can from the prefilled and saving it in a small dropper. im getting pretty good at saving every little drop.

thanks again for the post.

I agree with this, rho....I think you may have mentioned it in one of the videos or maybe on another thread, but I've noticed that just about the time I'm thinking 'time to top off' because it's getting that dry thing going on, if I take a hard pull, then go back to business as usual, I'm in good shape again for quite some time.

I'm just learning all kinds of things from you!

Keep the good stuff coming...

At first I didnt understand why you wouldnt be able to get more than 2 drops when attempting to top this off. Then it came to me. In a previous post you said that you rolled it pretty tight to get more air on the sides. I think this is hurting the desired effect. So I tested it out with a slight difference. You also said in a previous post that it was hard to get juice in so what I did was try to do the opposite extreme.

I took a stirring straw, we all have one or at least a cut up one close by now, and rolled a brand new FRF mod around it and put it in the cart without the straw. After adding about 5 drops into the center I started getting bubbles so I waited about 4-5 seconds then added another 5. I did this till I got 30 drops in (not dripping out but pooling on the top)... DONT DO THIS. It was too much, but I had to see how much it would take. I had to dab some off with a napkin but I'll try it again with 25. 30 DROPS!?!?! how is that possible? I dont know, in the flat tips no less. I'll try to make another video to demonstrate. Anyway, the point is I think the fact that it is a loose roll make it easier for the juice to go in. Making some space in the middle of the roll provides the air channel you are looking for but this way it goes all the way down to the bottom as opposes to half way down the sides thus allowing you to fill the cart easier.
As a side note I think the tight roll may also hurt the PTB material's flexibility to:
1- give the springy action to keep contact with the atomizer bridge and
2- hug the bridge like we want.
To make a long story short (too late) for me it works best when you "Keep Loose"
Maybe I shouldnt take that part out of the name. Oh well...
Double Folded, Loosely Rolled, Frayed Lipton PTB Mod (I 'pulled' the 'plug' from the name)

as always... hope this helps... someone... anyone....

rho

PLEASE POST any success and failures with this mod. I appreciate any feedback.
