I have some solder wick, I wanna try with that. Is it safe? I don't know what it's made of but I'm gonna soak a bit in PG and a bit in VG over night and see if they change color or rust at all. I'll post back with the results. I know even if nothing happens it doesn't mean it's safe, but that's the best testing I can do. If anyone has more resources and wants to test further I would love to know their findings.

It think it is made out of copper...most should be lead free ,,, but that is a possibility as well..... I think copper isn't a good choice of material I am sure more people will elaborate.

Sorry if this is a double post...

I googled it, it is copper and it has a "no-clean flux formula" on it, more info here NTE Solder Wick NTE# SW04-5. Whatever is on it may come off if I clean it with alcohol, soap, and/or hot water. I'm off to bed but I will try tomorrow if I have time.

Edit: I just posted some new info I researched under a different topic here The Holy Grail Cart Filler! Maybe.

How are you guys doing this with 3 screens? I just got some stainless steal screens and can only get one in my 510 cart.

My fingers are bleeding a little but I got it in there! and it doesn't leak but the atty is a little flooded...

I just modded an 801 cart using this method with the exact same pipe screens purchased from amazon. I got like 100 screens for a few bucks, it was quite the deal. They arrived in the same kind of packaging as seen in the OP's pictures. I had to tweak the OP's method a bit and only used two screens in the 801 cartridge to get them to fit correctly. I'm happy to report that it DOES work. The draw is harder than the PTB mod, but the vapor is rediculous. So much so that I'd be hesitant before vaping in public with this cartridge. I'm also using a DIY liquid mix that uses 50/50 PG and VG, which may have something to do with the vapor being so thick. I can only imagine what straight VG mixing liquid would be like. I will try that next.

So far I'm loving it! I will continue to use the PTB+Straw mod as well for general usage, but when I'm home I will most definitely use the brass pipe screens.

I`ve also had great results using the "Y" method. I use 3-3/4" screens for a 901.
Bought them from ebay for peanuts.

Been using the brass for 2 weeks now with the same screens. I`m sure my addy
stays a lot cooler then with any other method I`ve tried. Still hard to believe that
the brass wicks as good as it does. I add 3-4 drops at a time and this keeps, I found,
the leakage, to the very minimum. I also add just a tiny bit of poly at the bottom of the cart before dropping in the screen. Really not sure if it does anything though...
