This is the only way to vape a 510!
I have also started using the pen grip on the 801 which works fantastic! I have yet to get this on my 901's but I know that it would work on them really well also.
I just use the pen top, and never had any problems getting the liquid to drop in. You don't have anything in there either.

If you're vaping at high voltage with a 510 (say, 6v on a Chuck), will it melt the funnel?

Nope, and in fact it will keep your atomizer cool. I also have this on my 801, but it's just more of a cover on it.

I had 6 or so in my DIY kit that I ordered from Dawn at:
DIY Flavor Shack by E-Cig Smoke Store
They aren't listed in the DIY accessories though but I'm sure if you called here she'd tell you how she got them or sell you some... most likely at cost because she's a sweetheart like that... but don't quote me LOL.
I just dropped by the blood lab in one of the local hospitals and they handed me over about 20 of these things without blinking, so I'm about to be off and running.

Oh yeah, this is working well for me!
I used the 3ml disposable droppers and bought a couple of different sets of pens with rubber grips. One of the sets of pens had a rubber grip that comes off real easy, but was too big to use with the 3ml disposable droppers. The other set was the right size, but the rubber grips seemed to be glued to the pen so I had to get midieval on them with some needlenose pliers and got them squared away.
This is working great with my Chuck and I can even flood the thing with too many drops and just smoke right through it until it clears. There is no possibility of juice in the mouth with this modification so just drip and with no worries at all.
Nice work!!

Kudos Porphy
Simplicity is sweet!
Read this thread, and within two minutes I had an "Original" version DDC installed and vaping.
Course it's not entirely perfect.
For one thing, she's going to want to know what happened to her pen! And then there's the aspect that my once sleek and stylin' 510/AR now has this big, pale purple thing on top of it
Thanks for the idea Porphy, using it and enjoying it!

So I was using this on my Chuck with my 510 atomizer, and then it occured to me that I should be using my 306 atomizer instead. The 306 can handle almost four drops where my 510 can only handle about two drops. And so I tried it, and entered vaping heaven.

Bump.
Because, if you direct drip with a mod, this is the way to go.

This is great. The rubber almost seems to act as insulation on my silver 901 attys, which get way hotter than the black ones.
Seems like I'm tasting a little rubber, but it's probably just because I'm inhaling through "new" rubber. I'd imagine this will go away after an hour or so.
Good work!
