I've been trying to experiment with the it but its hard to know whats working best. Smaller holes or larger holes. Or maybe one hole. I was just playing with it now and noticed that it would still work if i covered the openings around the batt/atty as it would have to pull air threw the holes on the cart insted.. I would not suggest to hold it like that all the time but seemed to help get the juice to the top when it seemed dry. hehe.

Just hoping to get others to try and there thoughts and ideas if this is working good or how to make it better.

One thing i'd like to add is poke the holes on the same side pictured, I poked some where the flat side and air vents are (not thinking very cleary). oh ya i'll report back with efficiency.

EDIT: I now see he noted this already(the top picture did not fully show the first time I read)

I just tried it now and the vapor is good but I couldn't get a throat hit until I covered the holes with my lips while toking...seems great that way.....has anyone tried this with one hole yet instead of two?
I am using a 510 cart on the new 3.7 Protege.

Oh dont even mention the Protege.. Mine worked for about 2 days and the button started sticking so now it never turns off! Now i have to send it back in and wait for them to get a shipment of new switches before they send it back to me.

Was great while it worked right.

Yeah i've noticed that no throat hit as well.. yeah i need to try 1 hole or many just smaller holes all together.

Sorry about your Protege....I've had mine a week now with no problems...
I just tried your mod with ONE hole and right now it's working great. I will vape it all day tomorrow and let ya know how it goes...I was able to put 5 drops of juice in, then vape a couple times and add 5 more and now it's perfect....wow, 10 drops is alot in a 510 cart with no flooding...

    Default Awesome

I just want to start out with a THANKS to ECLYPSE This is the one thing thats completly frustrated me with my 510 (absolutely never uses all liquid not even close) THIS MOD WORKS, sucks up all the liquid, no need to top off every 2 drops worth or so. I did one cart with 2 holes and one cart with one hole, I'm not yet able to tell wich one works better or should I say least. Just remember that placement of the holes is critical, it's really easy to put it too low(in the "overflow resevoir") or on the wrong side(air flow side) just follow his instructions and pics, and report back, I'd like to see more people try this. I believe this SHOULD be the new industry standard(pre-punched holes) for those of you wondering if it leaks-not for me(just keep your holes pin sized. ....Thanks Eclypse

Thanks, good to hear its working great for you!

I just wanted to report that today i've tried another cart with just one small pin hole. It works awesome!

Also i was playing around and noticed something i think it super cool. If it seems low on juice and producing little to no vapor, try this.. Grip the 510 with your index finger and your thumb around the batt/atty connection. You want to cover up the air vents that the atty uses to draw in air. Now take a normal draw with it runing. When you do this it will be forced to suck air threw the 1 or 2 small holes in the cart and hense suck up every last drop of juice to the top wetting the atty bridge.

-EDIT- Just do that once.. You would'nt want to use it like that all the time as the atty would burn up if you have just the one hole.. If you have the 2 holes in the cart you may get away with it. After, just smoke as usual. Just make sure not to do this right off the bat, or you'll have a nice flooded atty.
Now continue on like you just topped it off with juice for another 4-5 hits with big vapor!

Just tried this and so far seems to be working well, need to play around with it to make a true verdict but it did get me thinking. Why are the air hols above the atomizer, it makes no sense. The holes should either be in the cart at the bottom of the filler, or there should be some air channels to bring it down. Having the air flow through the cart filler is just logical. I'm thinking i might try to using this cart mod and doing an atty mod to plug the stock holes and see if this improves performance. I think we may be on to something here people.

This concept inspired me to try this mod. I really like the idea, but I had trouble with the execution. I found a simple alternative: block the factory hole in the mouthpiece and blow through the pinhole in the side of the cart. This blows juice onto the atty.

I'm giving it a shot. So far, not too shabby! Works pretty well.
