Hey guys.. i was trying to figure out a way to get air into the bottom of the filler chamber so it would work better and hopefully use all the juice insted of wasting alot of juice that stays at the bottom of the cart. At first was going to try this mod with the Pyramid lipton tea bag mods as i notice theres always juice still at the bottom when i go to refill or need to top off the cart. But then i though maybe i should try it with polyfill! My first experiance with poly was when i first started using e-cigs a little over a week. I ended up going threw 4 attys in 2 days cause of the nasty burnt poly taste! Glad i found a way to get rid of the taste though. Since then i've been using the shredded pyramid tea bags and it works great but to me it seems i loose flavor? Guessing that the juice thins out as its well spread out in the cart. So out of nowhere i thought about the straw mod and wondering how that works.. then though about putting a hole near the bottom of the filler chamber on each side. That way it would allow for air to enter the bottom of the cart and the air would aid in pushing the juice up the cart filler and hense.. less waste and better hits. So at first i thought.. well if this works and works good i should try the polyfill once again as it would help hold the fluid in the cart so it would not leak out those 2 holes. You can use a medium needle and heat it up real good and poke the side of the cart and it will melt the hole. Do the same on the other side. The hole should be smaller then the exhaust hole on the end of the cart.. i'd say about twice as small. Make sure its near the end of the filler chamber and not the other side where the air exists down and out the end of the cart. The only prob is to remember to hole your thumb and finger over those 2 holes to seal them while you add the juice to the empty cart. I add about 9 drops. Then i shove in the poly and let it soak it up for a couple of seconds before removing your fingers from the holes. Then i try to add about a drop or 2 to the top, no more then that. Its easy to over fill the cart. You want the top to be a hair wet as i believe with the added air holes theres no pressure holding in the juice if its not adsorbed by the filler and it will flood the atty right away if your ot carefull. If that happends blow the atty out. Now with my results! Right away i notice BIG vaper! I was excited.. i noticed no burnt taste but thought that may happen when its near dry. I puffed it down till it looked dry. No nastey taste period! I hurried and pulled the filler out and seen that it was bone dry! So i thought hey it might be working. Put more drops in the emtpy cart and slapped the same poly back in and repeated. I did this 4 times over last night. Never had any burnt poly taste!I also made another cart again with the 2 holes. So i now had 2 e-cigs runing the new mod. I played around with the one to see what was the difference if i held my finger over 1 hole or covered both holes. After about 2 draws covering both holes i started getting that nasty burnt poly taste! So bad that after changing the cart material the taste was still there. I ended up having to clean that atty as the taste would not go away. I tried one hole with the poly and ended up getting that dry taste after a while. I played around with the pyramid tea bags with the hole mod and that didnt seem to work good with the shredded. TOo much air i guess. Hit better with the holes covered. I still would like to play around with the PTB and just one hole.. but it may have to use some other mod then shredded.. hopefully we figure out some mdoe with the tea bag that will help draw all the juice out of the bottom of the cart. Oh.. no time right now but i'll try getting some pictures up tonight if i can. |

I follow the idea and have thought abut it myself.. but never tried it. My concern was always leakage. No problem with that?

Though i'll admit that i forgot to cover those holes 3 times that night! lol. Sucks but i'm sure you'll get used to it. Still working great! Just made another cart and everyone is getting big vapor! My guess is about 5-6 feet long of vapor! | |

Also note that i'm only reuse the filler once more after the first fill.. after that i'll make a new polyfill. They loose there spring anymore after that and it wont make good contact with the bridge.

Welp, tonight in the name of science i wanted to see if this was for real or i was just a newbie. So i used a regular cart (non Modded) with some new polyfil. Seriously felt alot different right off the bat. Less then 10 hits into it it started to seem dry. So i thought maybe the poly was too thick. So i redid it this time using a much thiner piece. Well the same thing happened. I thought maybe the battery was going so i swaped to a new one and it was the same. So i thought.. no way its dry already and pulled it off and low and behold it was moist everywhere but the top. So i take that same poly and slap it in my modded cart. It tasted moist like i just topped it off! I took 5-6 hits off of it and it was working perfectly and tasted pretty good to! hehe. This was tested with the exact same battery and atty. So this proves it to me that the holes in the bottom mod is working and works great! P.S. Sorry i didnt have time to get the pics up yet.. Have been watching my 6 month and 4 year old all day. Tomorrow i should have time.. if i can take my hands off the new Protege from puresmoker.com! Its coming today (Monday). |

Tried this and it seems to be working good so far. I am using some Marineland Rite-size foam sleeve stuff for fish tanks that i got on sale. Its blue, has the larger cells. I had prefilled a cart like this, and it was getting to seem dry-but I tried this two holes in the cart mod and did NOT top up, but it sure seems like I did cause I am getting very good vapor. |

Finally someone tried it and reported back. ![]() I was going to take some pictures but thought no one cared so never bothered. Thanks for trying it out. Glad it seems to be working good for you. Pretty easy to see if its working or not by having a normal cart and one with the 2 holes. When they seem dry pull the stuffing out and compair. The one with the hole mod should look dry while the other will have alot of fluid still soaked in and wasted. |

First time posting pics to this site.. gave up using there tools and ended up using something i know how to use. Wish i could edit the first post but theres no option? Remember that theres 2 air chambers near the bottom of the cart.. those are used to catch excess fluid and water vapor so you dont get it in your mouth. You dont want to put the hole in that area. If you have a white cart like mine its easy to see the bottom of the inner cart chamber by holding it up to a bright light. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
