Ok so first off let me state I have tried the PTB mod, the straw mod, etc.. Has anyone esle out there tried a scouring pad? The one i use is from work so there is no brand name, its just your basic green, no chemical scouring pad. Let me say it works great!!!! I have tried this in a Blu atty and a 510 atty and I cannot get similiar results with any other mods. It really cost effective too, one pad would last basically 100 mods which is one of my problems with the PTB. All I did was cut out a peice that seemed like it would fit and stuff it in. No straws, no frills, nothing fancy. I seems like the scouring pad works well because its not absorbant at all, so it transfers the liquid with no promblems. It works so well on my blu that I no longer need to dip the atty which is great for convience and is basically the only other way to get a good hit from the blu. Also I have not noticed any problems yet with leaking. Let me know if there is someone out there that already tried this. If not try it, and give me your thoughts? |

could you perhaps post a couple of good clear pictures of the scouring pad so we can see the density etc? Thanks | |

The one I am actually using is about twice as think, but is exactly the same material as this. We have both at work. But you could fold this over for a larger atty, and get the same results.

thank you. I think I have some of those layingaround. I wonder though, if the heat releases anything toxic or if the material reacts with the juice or nicotine.

Tried to figure out what material that would be. Only thing I could find was "Synthetic Fiber", or possible a nylon material. I would think it would be somewhat safe because it is used for cleaning food items. But when you heat it who know? I will check more on that and possible the manufacturing process to get more info.

The ones I use are not scotch brite brand. It is actually from the kay chemical supply company. But I think scotch brite would be the same thing.
