Spring.. straw... honestly, whatever you got.

I started with a spring, but it was discoloring my liquid. Went into the cabinet last night, fund a suitable straw size, cut it to length, notched the "bottom" and put it in there. Done. Works.

The spring it just to hold up the filler from falling into the reservoir. Anything that would keep the filler at the end of the cart rather than IN the cart would work. The key is to take up as little space in the reservoir as possible. Just two even pieces of the hollow Q-tip "straw" should work just fine. Any more just takes up liquid space.

i love the ingenuity on display here guys!!!

...any follow-up on the straw, q-tip, plastic spring, or other "relatively safe" device for this mod?

how's the vapor production and how effective is the adm cart mod in terms of using all the juice?

Using the single drinking straw and BLUE scrubbie pad, I get about 15 drops in the cart and it's pretty dry when I need to refill. I don't need to top off at all - just refill with another 15 drops. The blue pad is holding up well, no funky taste, no burnt taste. Awesome vapor on the 510. I am getting a slight gurgle today, but I always seem to get that with round mouthpieces. I need to mod one of my whistle tips.

I bet a straw cut in half lengthwise would work (look like a "C" from the top), as well and take up even less room in the reservoir.

    Kristin,

With the 901 whistle tips I am approaching 20 drops. I realize drop size is subjective. And size does matter...

THIS IS A GREAT MOD! I gave up on filling carts and poly-fill all together shortly after starting to vape because to "top off" a dry cart took 3 drops because of all the liquid stuck at the bottom of the poly-fill. Dripping was just as easy, this has TOTALLY changed my mind! THANK YOU YOUR A LIFE SAVER!

I use a needle inserted in the cart side by side to stop the plug. Work fine!
